Illustrator to Mobile
Mobile - We need a way to be able to open ai.files (or different formats from illustrator) and edit them in a mobile app.
e.g.: Right now I will need to change the background of a design everyday. In Illustrator it's easy, all I need to do is change background color export and voila.
However, if I can't find a solution to edit the background layer (or rectangle on top of it) on mobile. . . Adobe draw doesn't allow me to open ai.files or edit layer by layer. Can't really find a solution.

Export X, Y, W, H and angle to a text file or Excel format?
Please add a feature to allow AI to export X,Y,W,H and angle to a text or Excel file.
I have a need to get the coordinates and sizes of buttons (in pixels) for my Touch screen. After you design the image for LCD. You will need to know XYWH and angle for touch purpose. It will be good to have AI to send those information out to a file (not image).

An option to disable "Save as PDF compatible" as default when saving .ai files
I do a lot of large signage projects with a lot of imported large PSD files. For years I have pulled my hair out waiting for these files to save, even though the images were linked and not embedded. I finally discovered that if I turn off save as PDF compatible when I save the AI file, it saves a lot quicker! Please turn off the save as PDF compatible default when saving. AI files that are large.
Also when turning off PDF compatibility in an AI file, it would be nice to still have a finder preview.

Clip to Artboard selection before rendering Preview
When I have a large project with many artboards and I want to export just one, I always have to wait for the entire project to render before I can select Clip to Artboard. If however, there was a dialog box asking clip to the artboard or not before rendering the preview, it would save the time of rendering a preview that isn't always necessary.

Choose .pdf magnification seeting in Illustrator not Acrobat
When saving .ai file as .pdf the added option to choose the .pdf magnification at the save as pdf settings stage, instead of having to do this in Acrobat properties.

DWG export to have thumbnail/preview
DWG files exported from Illustrator have no way to be previewed without opening. DWG files saved from AutoCAD have a thumbnail image included in the file that can be shown by Bridge CC or windows file explorer. but illustrator doesn't seem to export these correctly. This makes it impossible to sort through large amounts of DWG files.

Save export settings for individual files
Please put together all the wishes regarding being able to save export settings for individual files, that means custom settings for means, path, formats, prefix and all!
Otherwise I have to change the settings, which are quite specific, every single time I export from a file.4 votes -
Keep Layers from PDF when opening the file in Illustrator.
We use InDesign to do packaging design, usually having multiple variations of the same general design. We then export as PDF and have some vendors who like to get .AI files instead. The problem we are facing, is that when we save the PDFs with Layers (from InDesign), they all flatten when we open the file in Illustrator. There needs to be a way to preserve the PDF layers when opening in Illustrator.

Just fix the grammer
The "document will be closed after the save is complete" popup has a button that says "close anyways." That's hillbilly, not English.

We want you to make file size light even if we save by "Create PDF compatible file".
Selecting “Create PDF compatible file” saves the file size. We want you to be able to choose a resolution such as "350dpi" or "72dpi", and you can see the preview and reduce the file size.

.DXF compound shape support
Illustrator doesn't seem to support exporting compound shapes in a .DXF file. Corel does so it must be possible. This lack of support means that you cannot have text in a DXF file.

Illustrator can not save with Apple SMB and show column preview on
Hi
On Mac, Illustrator can not save with Apple SMB and "show column preview" turned on.File says "Illustrator is unable to save this document... due to some unexpected errors"
Illustrator and photoshop, please change your code to work on Apple SMB. Apple confirmed they will not change their code to fix Adobe cross platform app issues saving.

Feature to be able to edit class name of SVG file. We faced some issue, when using svg of same class names in a single page.
If we are able to edit class name of SVG files, there wont be any class override and style overide issues.

Export Individual Layers separately
Now we can only export the multiple art boards on one layer at a time. Please make it possible to select more than one layer and export those to files.
It would save a ton of time when we have multiple images to export from like dartboards stacked up on multiple layers.

Don’t tell me I can’t save a document because it is saving
I'm going back to the 2019 version. There are no benefits that I can find to using 2020. First of all, there's the issue of it telling me every time I try to do save-close that it can't close the document until it's done saving it. YES, I KNOW that - I simply don't want to sit here and wait on it, I've got other things to do.
And on top of that, none of my fonts look pretty and clean like in 2019 and every previous version of illustrator.

I'm David Jia from Sinajet Tech. We are a digital cutter manufacturer for sign industry.
More our customers have AI format cutting file, now they need to transfer AI to DXF, and send DXF file to our digital cutter for cutting process.
We hope our cutter can connect with AI format cutting file directly. Once I get AI format I/O or a DLL, then our digital cutter can work with AI format cutting file directly. It will be more convenient for customers.

Blurry text on dialogue prompts (such as Export)
On the prompts that have the options for "Use Artboards", the text is blurry.

Possibility to open AI and PDF files in AI
I am working on color files for shoes using Illustrator in multi-page. It would be great if I wouldn't have to share the files.
But we are several people using the files, with different versions of AI, or for some of us only Acrobat.
So what happens very often and drives me crazy is that I can't open files (incl my own) in multi page, and even if I can open page by page (and waste a lot of time putting them back together) it is with a lot of clipping masks created by the app and which make it…2 votes
