  1. Add an "All Minuscule" button to the character tool panel

    There's an all caps button why not the opposite. At times I've seen plenty of brands use minuscule characters for some lines exclusively. It would be nice to have templates that prevent the error to have majuscule letters or vowels when a brand doesn't want it and explaining it to the client/customer. I've made a sample you can check out. It seems simple enough to add.

  2. Leading / Line Height calculator (more Auto options)

    Illustrator now offers 120% as the default leading value.
    Changing it requires you to go to Justification dialog within the Character panel.
    The setting is global for the document.
    Changing the default value for all new documents requires editing [Normal Paragraph Style] in proper Document Profile (and default ones are reset every time Ai updates).

    Typography often requires more variety than just a value relative to font size.
    In real projects we have to calculate leading / line height based on line width, x-height... and also background, color, the font itself.

    As a user who frequently works with CJK texts, I often encounter challenges in managing fonts for multilingual documents. Currently, setting different fonts for mixed-texts is a cumbersome process.

    When I work with mixed texts, it is common to set CJK texts in one typeface and English text in another, as it is usually the case for many brands.     Recommendations on where to download fonts that wont disappear? I have t-shirts I'm selling and cant find fonts I used so I have to change all the websites imp marketing on.

    I’m using illustrator for first time and learning it in university and I noticed that it not supports on Hebrew language
    That’s make problems when I’m trying to write in Hebrew

  10. Make Illustrator inform users about the live shape nature of the path used for area type and provide associated controls for it

    Currently, when we use a live rectangle as a path for an area type, it secretly stays live shape inside, and it allows us to scale the object with the round corners honored. If we round corners for a rectangle-looking path (not live shape), corners will get stretched.

    However, there is no way to distinguish these two cases with UI, or to convert a rectangular path used for the area type into live rectangle shape, or to have shape-sepcific controls.

  11. Copy and paste formatting to text

    Please add a very important abbreviation
    It is paste formatting
    (And copy the same text)
    I suggest its shortcut is ctrl + shift + V
    and
    ctrl + shift + C copy shortcut
    As in MS Word
    It's an important shortcut and makes it much easier at work. Please let me know when it's activated

  12. Add "tight" leading to preset leading

    From the beginning, Illustrator has offered an "Auto" setting for leading, plus specific setting numbers (12pt, 14pt, 18pt, 21pt, et al). What I wish that you would add is a setting for "tight leading," in other words, leading set to the same point size as the font itself. Like 10/10, 12/12, 72/72. Seems like an easy, one line of code kind of addition. And I, for one, would be eternally grateful for it.

  14. Option + Arrow to duplicate and move text

    Please bring back the ability to duplicate and move text with the Option + Arrow keys. It was an incredibly handy feature. I used it all the time and it has been sorely missed.

    Problem:

    Managing large font collections in Adobe Illustrator can be challenging, especially when installing new fonts. With hundreds or even thousands of fonts, identifying recently added ones becomes a tedious task, often requiring manual scrolling and searching through the entire font menu.

    Proposed Solution:

    Implement a feature in Illustrator that allows users to easily identify newly installed fonts. Here are two potential options:

    Filter by Install Date: Add a sorting option within the font menu that displays fonts by their installation date. This would allow users to quickly see the most recently added fonts at the top of the list.

  16. Allow the bullet behavior to be turned ON or OFF

    I would very much like to have the option to turn the Bullet behavior ON or OFF. - Part of why I use Illustrator as much as I do is that I like to have complete control of my design. I use InDesign in a very limited, specific way, even with book layout, i.e. TOC & pagination. - For example, I'm trying to make headers for a short PDF and I can't add numbers before my headers without loosing control of the styling.   17. Add an option to customize the strikethrough or underlined text

    How is it possible that there are still no options to customize the strikethrough or underlined text???

  18. Make Check Spelling work in Finnish

    I have searched for answers in community and tried all the suggestions.
    At least English, Spanish and Swedish spell checking is working.

    I have changed the language to Finnish in preferences hyphenation settings, character styles, paragraph styles and in the written text box. Spell check finds no words and automated check also does nothing.
