CMD - CMD + : Zoom to center screen as in Previous versions
In new versions, CMD + and CMD - Zoom to center of a selected object rather than always the centre of the screen.
It would be great if the possibility to restore the old feature was given.

This probably belongs in Feature Request, but it's as debilitating as a bug that needs fixing, so here it is:
While I understand the use of a zoom to selection function, don't make it the default and please give it a check box to turn on and off.
As a daily user of adobe products in the design/prepress industry for the last 12 years this is yet another failed attempt at improving the software for the average user while sacrificing usability and function for the true nuts and bolts professionals. It impairs workflow and drastically reduces efficiency.
Cmd +/- should zoom as it always has. Zoom to selection should either be it's own shortcut or it should be a feature one has the ability to turn on or off.Thanks

I don't know who thought it would be a good idea to make the zoom keyboard shortcut (ctrl(cmnd) +) zoom to the selected, but that garbage has got to go. This is such a senseless change.

There should be a 'disable feature' option for the new 'zoom to selection' functionality of the zoom tool. I would like to just zoom in/out of the current view, not in relation to the object I have selected. In large files, the selection gets 'stuck' and the software thinks I have an object selected that is way off the artboard (where there aren't any objects), forcing me to scroll every time I hit cmd+ or cmd-.

This item has already been fixed. Next version of Illustrator CC would have a preference to disable "Zoom to Selection".
