As per the comment, you can adjust the Pathfinder precision in Pathfinder Options dialog, accessible from the Pathfinder’s panel flyout menu. The higher the value, the less accurate the result is going to be. Lesser values gives more precision, but it can lead to many 'residuals'. The default value is 0.028 pt, but you might try something like 0.01 pt and see if it works better.

An error occurred while saving the comment DC Jon commentedAnything on this? I keep having this issue. This time, I had to do a ton of cleanup on a cut file that was created from a logo that I'm creating decals from. I united the logo from the Pathfinder pallet an had a ton of all these little vectors left behind where elements that had no gaps between them were overlapping.

It’s dangerous to call things Smart... When they behave dumb, the name sound like an insult. Sadly, this is the case.
Please provide more specific cases, with video proofs, ask you colleagues to share and vote, to move this further. This is the way to force changes to things that are broken — be vocal and persistent. Thank you all and let’s hope we get heard.
An error occurred while saving the comment DC Jon commentedI'm also constantly having issues with imprecise snapping to points and guides. Sometimes, I can't even get them to snap to a guide, point, or line that I'm hovering directly over. I also have the issue of the smart guides trying to snap to objects no where near what I'm working on while hovering over the object I'm trying to snap to. These guides used to work great a few releases ago.

Background:
- CC libraries does not have support for Global Process Colors
- Some users have spoken about InDesign – InDesign does not support Global Process colors
- Illustrator does support process colors , global process colors and spot colors. The issue is specefic to global process colors – since it is not supported in CC Libraries. We have added the request to support in CC libraries backlog,
Workaround:
- Create Process colors in Illustrator and add it to CC libraries – deselect the global checkbox
An error occurred while saving the comment DC Jon commentedI work in screen printing and have a CC library saved for my standard ink colors. If i try to edit the color mix of one of my swatches it converts to process and wont let me convert back to spot color. I have to delete the swatch and make a new one to add back to my library.

An error occurred while saving the comment DC Jon commentedI would also love to have this feature. I work for a screen printer and send proofs out all day long. I would love to have a preset that included the same password for all my outgoing proofs so I don't have to manually apply one for every proof I save. My proofs usually have vector art that I do not want the art to be able to be ripped from the PDF's in the even that the customer has not already paid for the art services.

Adobe. Make It an Experience. An error occurred while saving the comment DC Jon commentedThis has also been driving me up the wall! If I'm trying to compare a few fonts against each other I have to keep scrolling back through the entire fonts list to get back to where I was. InDesign does this **** too.
DC Jon supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment DC Jon commentedWhen I select a text object and click on my fonts list, the menu used to go to that font in the list. Now it jumps to the top of the list with recent fonts that I have selected. If I am working on a new project and trying to display different fonts for comparison, I have to scroll through the whole menu to get back to where I left off. It's incredibly annoying and a waste of time.

Adobe. Make It an Experience. An error occurred while saving the comment DC Jon commentedSame issue here. It seems that every new Illustrator release breaks something. Would it be possible to stop making so many releases and just start making fewer solid releases? Please???

Happy to announce that we have introduced 'Preview Missing Fonts' functionality to improve your experience when working with files that contain unavailable fonts.
If you open a file with missing fonts, Illustrator will now render the text correctly on the artboard in Preview Mode, even if the fonts are not installed on your system. This ensures the files appear as intended without requiring immediate font installation.
How does it work?
1. When you open a file with missing fonts, the Missing Fonts Window will appear, listing fonts that are in Preview Only Mode.
2. Close the Missing Fonts Window to view the text rendered accurately on the artboard.
3. You can optionally select the text, go to Objects -> Expand… to convert the text to outlines.
4. The text in Preview Mode is not editable. If you attempt to edit the text in Preview Mode, a warning will appear, notifying…

Can you please verify this problem does not occur anymore in the latest Illustrator builds?
DC Jon supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment DC Jon commentedSame issue here. Using the touch type tool is at least a usable workaround for the time being.

Adobe. Make It an Experience. An error occurred while saving the comment DC Jon commentedI don't know who thought it would be a good idea to make the zoom keyboard shortcut (ctrl(cmnd) +) zoom to the selected, but that garbage has got to go. This is such a senseless change.

I'm having this same issue activating fonts straight out of Adobe's library in Illustrator. Clicking the Activate Font button just acts like it's working but the font never becomes available to use unless I restart Illustrator. However, I use FontBase for my own font library and the activation is seamless. Also, the fonts that I try to activate in Illustrator do show as activated if I log into my account online. It's something wrong with Illustrator getting live access to the Adobe fonts library, it seams.
