Is there a way the dimension numerals can be vertically center aligned and knock thru the line? Currently the numerals can only be positioned above or below the line (or left/right of it for vertical dimensions).

Thank you, the link goes to one page but quickly changes to there main page. Then there is no mention of older versions.

I have also made a set that is half ***, when I resize the tic mark I then have to change the text manually. It takes several steps sometimes. Hints the reason I am trying to find a real version that is compatible with AI cs5. Again I do not mind purchasing the set, I just need to find them on HotDoors site.

@judy you can download them here and if you need to get the lic they sell you it at the current price https://www.hotdoor.com/Download?support i have used them for hears. its just i want only the dimension tool and not the rest. currently i made a 9slize with everything i need in it and than just unlink and edit the text. but the problem with this is if i change the object i need to take all the steps again. if illustrator had the tool it would even be better if it auto updated but at lease have it so i can redraw the measurement faster.

CADtools 8 works with Illustrator CS3, CS4, CS5, and CS6 and CC

Wondering if someone could post a link where I can download a older version of HotDoor tools? I am running cs5 with windows 11. I think I need version 6 and maybe 7 will work, but have mostly researched HotDoor version 6.

Anyone that can post a link it would be greatly appreciated.

I am also in the sign industry for 30 years now. Been using Flexi Design, but no longer have access to it.

@john i have used it but its still missing features. i was hoping for something a bit more like hotdoors. but just the dimensions tool.

Has the Dimension tool been abandoned? That would be very disappointing.

I downloaded version 28.1, but unfortunately the tool is not present. how can I solve the problem?

Finally got the chance to download the beta version to test the tool. That was a great start for the long awaited tool. Big thanks to the Adobe team.
I think there should be some ability to restrict the number of decimals (for the ones that use it, i.e. px, mm, cm), as well as the ability to output fractions (in the case of inches).
Looking forward to test test any additional tweaks and feature expansions.

I know there are ways to measure curves by cutting the line, but it would be great to have a tool to measure around curves.

please add for letters and frames inline feature. already there outline . please add inline
