Make thumbnail size in Layers panel to save between launches
Make the thumbnail size settings permanent, so that on launch they are always the same no mater what document you open.
Also, make UI text size scalable: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/50841893

For me it’s stuck with Medium, so I assume it tries to pick one on its own...
I wish to say 'hey, just close all documents change the Layers’ Panel Options to modify the default option' — but NO, Ai doesn’t allow us to do this :(
So yes, I’, all in.(Strangely, 'Paste Remembers Layer' is the only option we can toggle with no documents open... and this also requires to have that bulky Home Screen disabled anyway, or we won’t see panels at all with no docs...)

WHY is the Small Row size the default? This would be a simple fix by putting the selection in the Setting menu so we can choose the setting that works best for the user. I want to be able to save the Other option as default!!! I am so sick of changing the teeny tiny row size EVERY SINGLE TIME I open a new document! Come on Adobe!

Which ones irritate you the most?

Yes, Egor; maybe if we merge them it has the possibility of getting more upvotes?

Paul this request feels like an expansion to the one request you shared a link to...
I’d merge them together and just corrected the title to 'Make Layers Panel Options global (not per document) and keep it after relaunch'.
What do you think? -

When using a high resolution (eg. 4K) screen, it's really annoying that Ai always defaults to using really small ("Medium") icons for the Layers palette.
EVERY TIME I open someone else's document (which happens very often), I have to embiggen the "Row Size" in the Layers Panel Options. I know I can set up a template for a new document, with the panel options set how I like them (which answers this request: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657-illustrator-desktop-feature-requests/suggestions/36980077-remember-panel-options-like-row-size-when-restar), but this is of no relevance when opening someone else's document on my system.
So could Ai please ALWAYS remember the size I've set the rows in the layers palette to, please?

I think it *used* to actually save this. Maybe on a per-document basis. And you could fix this by editing your New Document Profiles to have your desired layer panel options.
Then this stopped. Layer panel settings are still on a per-file basis but if that's being saved, it's ignored when you load in a file; the options are always reset to the way they are in the attached screenshot.
This was long before the Uservoice site existed, bug reports and feature requests were just a form on Adobe's site, so there's no old bigs ******** about this change in here. It's been a low-level annoyance for years and I finally got reminded it exists and came here to grumble about it.

I wish that the layer panel options were sticky. I don't like having to set the layer icons to be bigger in every document I make. I always want them to be: other 50 pixels.

The default row size is far too small on a 5K screen. I set my row size to be at least 50px, but I have to do this every time I start a new doc. It would be nice if defaults could be set in preferences.

I switch off all Layer, Link and Transparency thumbnails to improve viewing performance in complex documents, but I have to do this for EVERY customer file opened.
With the option to have my saved Workspace over-ride the viewing preference saved in each document, all files would open to the user's preferred setup.
