  1. Ability to backup fonts from Adobe Fonts locally

    Recommendations on where to download fonts that wont disappear? I have t-shirts I'm selling and cant find fonts I used so I have to change all the websites imp marketing on.

    Hi
    I’m using illustrator for first time and learning it in university and I noticed that it not supports on Hebrew language
    That’s make problems when I’m trying to write in Hebrew
    And because of it I need to buy computer … that’s why I think they u need to do Hebrew language support on the illustrator fonts and so…

    If it not support the language going backwards and not as she should .

  3. Add "tight" leading to preset leading

    From the beginning, Illustrator has offered an "Auto" setting for leading, plus specific setting numbers (12pt, 14pt, 18pt, 21pt, et al). What I wish that you would add is a setting for "tight leading," in other words, leading set to the same point size as the font itself. Like 10/10, 12/12, 72/72. Seems like an easy, one line of code kind of addition. And I, for one, would be eternally grateful for it.

  4. Option + Arrow to duplicate and move text

    Please bring back the ability to duplicate and move text with the Option + Arrow keys. It was an incredibly handy feature. I used it all the time and it has been sorely missed.

  6. Prevent Conversion of Outlined Text to Editable Text

    The Retype convert to live type feature makes it too easy for clients, vendors, and 3rd parties to convert uneditable work into editable work. It's a nice tool for your own work, but it is potentially bad for business.

    Please add permissions features that allow us to control whether or not our files (PDF/AI) can be manipulated in this way by others or reconsider rolling out the Retype conversion feature.

    Please DO NOT roll out the Retype convert outline to live type feature unless this protection is added to illustrator.

    I realize there are probably a bunch of ways around…

  7. No longer can copy, the copy in a text box and paste it outside of illustrator I would like to see this fixed.

    No longer can copy, the copy in a text box and paste it outside of illustrator I would like to see this fixed. Should be able to copy and paste it to any file if it is text and paste it elsewhere. It currently brings it over like an image

  8. create outlines into groups

    It would help my pre production workflow a lot if it was possible to automatically create "separated" groups from text objects when I use create outlines on big chunk of text. For now one text block equals one object. It could be a function allowing me to produce single groups for every line shift for example.

  9. Allow apple’s “accent menu” to be used inside Adobe apps, instead of repeating the character endlessly.

    Currently if you press and hold a physical keyboard button, it just repeats the character like this sssssssssss.
    If the macOS feature “accent menu” works in future versions of Adobe apps. Typing in other languages that use accents like Italian (for example è and ì) would be easier. Instead of typing on another word processor then pasting into Adobe app. You can type è é ê ë ē easily on an English keyboard.

  10. For when you're creating graphics in different Middle Eastern or south asian languages there should be a option to format the whole artboad

    When you don't know the language in which you're designing you can miss formatting text boxes. They end up being gross errors in your final output.
    Also, it requires too many steps even now.
    A button to format the text on an entire artboard would really save a lot of time!

  13. Adobe fonts do not auto activate reliably. Constant issues with Adobe fonts activating properly.

    Your product does not auto activate and integrate "Adobe Fonts" properly. Fonts constantly fail to load or activate from the Adobe fonts library.

    When features like this are not available, you are selling us a product that does not work. Everyone paying for an adobe subscription should be refunded based on the value of the feature. I.e. we should all be refunded for the value of PANTONE color use your app lost... why are we constantly paying to subscribe to a suite of programs that does not live up to the features promised? Send me a letter when the class…

  14. Fonts do not displaying on Character panel

    Select the text inside the illustrator and character panel is empty, never show any fonts be using. My computer didn't install the fonts but can display correctly in illustrator.
    When exported to PDF, can check the fonts is using Lora-Bold.

    I'm really frustrated and worries, how to check incoming files if always having this issue.

    Please help on this method.

  15. too hard to change text size

    it's too hard to change text size in the small boxes in the character window. Hard to select all the content. Hard to select the number part only. And both of these are the only way to make it work. Please just change behavior so that clicking in the box selects all the content.

  16. After this revision, the paragraph function cannot be used with single-select nodes and the shift button

    To modify the paragraph, you can use the node + Shift button to move and adjust the size without offset.
    After this revision, it cannot be used with the shift button.

  18. Disable Text Auto-Formatting

    In Illustrator 2023 came the addition of auto-formatting being applied to text.

    Specifically bullets, hyphen bullets, etc.

    This should have an option to permanently disable, as it is a nuisance and an efficiency problem to have to turn off every single new text block.

    Seriously, Adobe looked at one of Word's most broken features and decided to ram it into Illustrator? The least you could do is look at a good implementation of it like on Google Docs!

    But nope, we get terribly formatted, non-customizable, defaulted bullet auto-formatting.

    At least give me a preference setting to turn it off permanently.

    There is a way to disable this feature: Preferences > Type > Automatic Bulleted and Numbered lists while typing.


    However, the fact it’s that obscured and is not given to a user when a conversion happens is a bad UX indeed. In some other apps this choice is given, even when it’s not the first one.

  19. Include "Juneteenth" in the Shared Adobe Dictionary

    Juneteenth became an official US holiday last year and has been celebrated unofficially since at least 1886.

    Shockingly though, the word is not in any Adobe dictionaries.

    I propose adding it to the shared dictionary and pushing the update to all applications. I have tested this in multiple apps, and all show it as an error and suggest "Nineteenth" instead.

    This is a critical DEI omission, especially this month.
