  2. Avoid text converted to outlines when opening PDF

    Currently Adobe Illustrator automatically and arbitrarily converts text parts to outlines, making these parts not editable nor selectable.

    It's not related to fonts, because that font is on my computer, and, other text parts that has exactly the same font are editable and not converted.

    It's just because of the code point. For example, in term ∀𝑥, the ∀ (U+2200) is editable and 𝑥 (U+1D465) is converted to outline. I really dislike this arbitrary behaviour. If compatibility is considered critical, the program should at least give an option to allow us the users to…

  3. Motor de texto vertical

    I would like it to be possible to edit the text in vertical format, I explain.

    I have a text in horizontal format which I can modify in every possible way, but I am working on a project that uses a custom typography and requires vertical writing, the problem is that when changing to vertical format the writing direction changes from right to left.

    the idea is that the reader can read from top to bottom, but in the same direction from left to right.

    i have looked for a way to change the orientation of the vertical writing direction…

    文字プロパティの「さらに検索」で母国語以外の他言語が上位表示される仕様になっている。

    日本ユーザーの場合、韓国語が上位表示されており、利便性に欠けるとともに、ローカライズが出来ていない状態といえる。

    Greetings, team. I have a suggestion to enhance your fantastic design software. I frequently work with tiny text elements in my vector art designs for textile sublimation. The challenge lies in the sheer volume of items I create daily, each with various sizes and variations. Sometimes, I inadvertently include text within the art, only to notice it after printing.     I’m using illustrator for first time and learning it in university and I noticed that it not supports on Hebrew language
    That’s make problems when I’m trying to write in Hebrew
    And because of it I need to buy computer … that’s why I think they u need to do Hebrew language support on the illustrator fonts and so…

    If it not support the language going backwards and not as she should .

  14. Add "tight" leading to preset leading

    From the beginning, Illustrator has offered an "Auto" setting for leading, plus specific setting numbers (12pt, 14pt, 18pt, 21pt, et al). What I wish that you would add is a setting for "tight leading," in other words, leading set to the same point size as the font itself. Like 10/10, 12/12, 72/72. Seems like an easy, one line of code kind of addition. And I, for one, would be eternally grateful for it.

  15. Option + Arrow to duplicate and move text

    Please bring back the ability to duplicate and move text with the Option + Arrow keys. It was an incredibly handy feature. I used it all the time and it has been sorely missed.

  17. Prevent Conversion of Outlined Text to Editable Text

    The Retype convert to live type feature makes it too easy for clients, vendors, and 3rd parties to convert uneditable work into editable work. It's a nice tool for your own work, but it is potentially bad for business.

    Please add permissions features that allow us to control whether or not our files (PDF/AI) can be manipulated in this way by others or reconsider rolling out the Retype conversion feature.

    Please DO NOT roll out the Retype convert outline to live type feature unless this protection is added to illustrator.

    I realize there are probably a bunch of ways around…

  19. create outlines into groups

    It would help my pre production workflow a lot if it was possible to automatically create "separated" groups from text objects when I use create outlines on big chunk of text. For now one text block equals one object. It could be a function allowing me to produce single groups for every line shift for example.

  20. Allow apple’s “accent menu” to be used inside Adobe apps, instead of repeating the character endlessly.

    Currently if you press and hold a physical keyboard button, it just repeats the character like this sssssssssss.
    If the macOS feature “accent menu” works in future versions of Adobe apps. Typing in other languages that use accents like Italian (for example è and ì) would be easier. Instead of typing on another word processor then pasting into Adobe app. You can type è é ê ë ē easily on an English keyboard.
