commentedSurprising this fix is taking so long. I am CONSTANTLY reseting the toolbar. Makes using Illustrator a miserable experience.

commentedHow much more time can we expect this fix in? Can you provide us with an estimated timeframe. It is frustrating to work in illustrator.

commentedGet it together Adobe. Lock those toolbars. And while you're at it, give us InDesign style text box manipulation in illustrator and photoshop.

commentedI teach Adobe Illustrator to beginners, and this is going to really confuse them. I rely on the toolbar being static, and showing what 'lives' under each icon so they can begin to remember where things are. If they are sliding around it's just one more point of confusion to beginners. I think this could be a feature that an advanced user could unlock if needed - but it should come standard that it is locked in a set position for any user. On another note, I just don't like it and it interrupts my workflow & makes it more confusing. I keep joking in class that homework will be writing to Adobe about updates - this may actually be required if it isn't fixed before Spring Semester.

I've been using Illustrator for 15 years, and have loved all the new features, updates ect... but my workflow has been TRASHED by this update. =( Hard to get in a groove when my tools don't stay where I put them.

commentedDon't know if this "St. Vitus Dance tools" is a bug or some "great idea" of some "great mind", but it's completely a driving nuts feature. Please, FIX it.

commentedHuge waste of time to put tools back where they should've been. I'm literally not intending to move them but they shift without command that I'm aware of. Really need to lock this down, it's a problem.

commentedI too want my tools to stop moving. It's frustrating and happens about 5 times a day. Why its taking forever to fix a critical bug? Probably some senior project manager (that does even use the program) flexing thinking he knows what the end-users needs and has not prioritized this... You don't even have to make it lock, just fix the dang bug first! Adobe made a function where you can lock the workspace in Photoshop, this is great. They need to bring this to Illustrator. The function to lock the workspace could even lock the toolbar. Mind-blowing... Brilliant... Hope to see this in the next update. PRO-TIP:
I get similarly frustrated with all the comments here saying they manual reset their tools instead of using the "Reset" button which puts everything back how it was... If you keep the standard layout (Basic or Advanced) just push the reset button. Click three dots at the bottom of the toolbar, then click the three lines w/ three dots at the top right of the window that just popped up, then click "Reset."If you have a custom tool layout, SAVE IT! Yes, you can save the layout. YouTube is your friend if you don't know how to already. Then repeat the steps above when the tools relocated by them selfs. You're welcome.

commentedIt completely disrupts my work flow and I have to stop what I'm doing to re organize the toolbar every 15 minutes. It's beyond frustrating, please fix.

commentedI, too, am enjoying the frustration. It is comforting to know we are not alone (besides sharing our lives with the Adobe-bot having fun with our toolbars).

commentedLoved the point gradient feature with new update, but this 'vagabond tools' feature took all the joy away.
