I wanted to give my feelings about the new customizable toolbar in Illustrator. It is by far taking the biggest toll on my productivity of any change Adobe has implemented. I have had learning curves slow me down before, but I learned about new tools, and got better and got up to speed after a bit. This isn't a learning curve issue, this, this is just a time suck that is costing me money.
For whatever reason I am dragging tools out of place, most likely the blame is on my Apple Magic Mouse, it seems to grab things unexpectedly from time to time. I go back to the toolbar to get a tool and it is gone, I can't see it, no idea where it went, I click to bottom of the toolbar, open the window, click the submenu, reset the menu. I do this multiple times a day. It's not a huge deal, but if you add it up it matters, it's money lost.
I don't customize the toolbars, I used to, but an update would come out and it would all get reset, so I gave up. I open a few things I need in addition to the default tools and just use it. I am not spending a lot of time customizing the workspace over and over.
Please, just give me a lock so I can just do my job without my tools ******* me off.

Also, Adobe has merged several threads on this subject, including mine, and in doing so, put this in the wrong category. The toobars randomly moving around IS A BUG, not a feature request. We're not requesting, pretty please, that the UI work correctly someday if you get the time. WE ABSOLUTELY NEED IT TO WORK CORRECTLY RIGHT NOW. FULL STOP.

Every week or two, I check to see if this has been fixed and, based on the comments dated today, we're still here. At least we've now passed 200 upvotes, so hopefully Adobe has begun to take us semi-seriously. I would encourage everyone who hasn't to upvote this thread until the issue is resolved. "The backlog" isn't good enough when the bug renders the entire UI unusable.

Adobe, your lack of communication on this issue which is clearly affecting your entire consumer base is infuriating. If you're going to force us into a subscription based system to ensure you get paid every single month for your software, you better **** well make sure that you're putting out the best product possible every update!
That means thoroughly testing all new features instead of using the Microsoft method of putting out flawed software and having your paying customers find the bugs.
Figure it out and at the very least give us an update on the status so that we know you're actually trying to fix the problem.

ADOBE (specifically Neeraj Nandkeolyar)... figure this out!!! I have had 2 updates pushed from CC for PhotoShop and InDesign but still have yet to see the update for Illustrator to fix this ridiculous issue!!! Like others have said, we are PAYING CUSTOMERS who have complained enough for you to understand this is an issue big enough to resolve. Locating tools is counterproductive and overall frustrating. Listen to the hundreds of people complaining and RESOLVE THIS ISSUE!!!!

I've already posted about this on here as I have the same problem as everybody else.
I have also noticed how Adobe team is very quiet about this issue. Customer services are just not responding to my messages about the bug and no comments at all from Adobe team on here neither. I cannot believe that Adobe would decide that this issue wasn't important enough. I think we should all contact Customer service and keep bugging them with this until we get them to fixe it. -

YOU NEED TO STOP RANDOMLY CHANGING the interface....you know what that does to someone who uses AI for work? you totally wreck productivity, by forcing up to stop using it the way we know, and have to re-learn something as elementary as the ******** Interface.,

Fix it... PLEASE!!!! -

If someone on the Illustrator team doesn't fix this problem now - I'm going to go postal. It's really starting to get me frustrated. I should have never upgraded to CC 2019. Ugh.

Please update this stupid toolbar soon. You are driving us all mad! Why can't one lock it into place. This is the biggest waste of time trying to find the moving tools! Dumb update!
