Why haven't you fixed this annoying glitch yet? Every single person I know using this newest version of AI is ******** about this problem with the tool palette! PLEEEEEEASE FIX THIS!

It's not from accidentally dragging for me. Mine still move around if I'm using shortcuts.

Creative Cloud subscribers need a discount for the time/money that we are wasting. This is an easy bug fix. Please prioritize it!

toolbar needs a lock! Only when the icons remain in place as memorized one can work fast and concentrate on being creative. In our team we are all loosing tine in searching for the icon that now moved his position.

Since I updated to 23.0.1, I noticed that the Tools on the left side do not remain persistent the way they used to. The anchor point moves behind another icon, the Selection tool which was always the first icon on the upper left now moves to the middle. It's driving me nuts! Whether I use the Basic or Advanced Tools, they keep moving as I use them. My eye was trained to always find them where they were---like typewriter keys--and now I have to look for them and it's slowing me down. Fix this, please, or tell me what the trick is because I can't find it in your Help menu.

Thank God I thought I was going crazy. This is beyond aggravating. My Selection Tool and Direct Selection tool keep moving around and nesting and every 10 seconds I have to go find them. This totally totally sucks.

What the **** is wrong with you guys. CC has been a disaster ever since it started. Unsubscribing my account and finding a cracked CS6 .. this is enough.

Any hints as to when a fix might happen. The "toolbar with a mind of it's own" bug is REALLY starting to get on my nerves. I typically have to do a reset every 2-3 minutes to get the standard toolbar back.

Windows 10 and Illustrator 23.01

the same happens with me. Using the new version of Illustrator 2019 in MacOS High Sierra 10.13.6, the tools keeps switching and/or desapear in tool box, mainly the selection tool and direct selection tool.

What? I am not saying do not innovate, but the toolbar thing is bizarre. I am noticing the tools moving, nesting.etc. Just add a little "LOCK" icon and add a feature to lock the tools.

This totally blew my mind today - in between other mind-blowing things. I spent months designing a house, and now I have to change it - alot - to make it work with setbacks. Blowing my mind. My selection tool - WHERE DID IT GO? Oy vey.

OH _ and the not pressing the shift button to constrain scaling in PShop? Bad idea. Bad Bad Not Good.

Other than that - keeps getting better. Please do not **** with convention.

This is a real problem, it's driving everyone in the studio mad and really messing up workflow.

so godamn frustrating when using a stylus on a wacom cintiq. CONSTANTLY move my tools around and into each other. VERY FRUSTRATING.

This needs fixing ASAP. Just add a longer delay for re-arranging or a lock button. Problem solved

I'm currently using Windows 10 and Illustrator v 23.0.1, and I'm also having this problem. My Direct Selection tool has disappeared from its usual location at the top left corner of the tool palette and has somehow embedded itself under the pen tool! I took a screenshot of the problem, but for whatever reason, Adobe doesn't allow picture uploads in the Illustrator Bugs section. It seems that with every update, Adobe's software gets more bloated and buggier.

Is it just me or is this issue getting worse? When I first updated, I was resetting the toolbar once, maybe twice a day. Yesterday, I had to reset five times in an hour!

Yes! I was just told to file this bug, but now I know it has been surfaced. Absolute nightmare.

I have to reset every minute. Back to 2018 for me.

Appreciate this is now planned but it needs to be bumped towards the top of the list of actions. A little padlock icon at the bottom of the tool stack near the 3 dots for options. I actually searched for 'Missing rectangle shape Illustrator CC2019' thinking it was a bug before realising I must've accidentally moved it on the last session!

While you're at it, please enable drag and drop functionality between native/custom toolbars. Doesn't make sense to be able to move a tool to a different position in the same toolbar but not be able to drag that tool onto a custom toolbar - once you have unlocked it ;)

Such a bad idea and even worse experience... change if back or lock it ASAP, it's making me HATE illustrator at the moment, driving me mad.
