Where is the Inner Shadow effect?

Photoshop has it, InDesign has it, even Sketch has it. It's such a fundamental feature. Of course we can use some techniques to simulate the effect, but why Illustrator lacks the most basic function?

    Description:
    Please add both inner and outer shadow, as well as inner and outer glow effects to Illustrator’s appearance panel, similar to Photoshop. This would make it much easier to create skeuomorphic and layered effects.

    Why is this valuable to you?
    Currently, achieving these effects requires stacking multiple appearances, which is cumbersome. Many designers, including myself and my colleagues in the industry, need precise control and convenient tools for creating these effects directly in Illustrator.

    Please Adobe, add this critical feature. Workarounds take too long, this should be something extremely simple. We would greatly appreciate your adding this asap. Thanks in advance.

    I was doing an assignment in Illustrator which required that I use the Inner Shadow, but Illustrator doesn't have it. Why? It would even work too.

    Totally agree with this one and say another one:
    Where is the Emboss effect?
    InDesign has it... even Macromedia Freehand MX had such thing nearly 20 years ago... shame on you lazy Illustrator!

    Needs this feature! Only reason I don't use Illustrator for many graphical designs.

    I agree... and it is not like inner Glow effect because you can not control X and Y...

    Use the Inner Glow effect. Works the same.
