Totally agree with this one and say another one:
Where is the Emboss effect?
InDesign has it... even Macromedia Freehand MX had such thing nearly 20 years ago... shame on you lazy Illustrator!

I'm giving some opportunity to the new 3D and Materials but i'm increasingly frustrated with some new issues with map art options in ways that i was not with the old version.
The new version is a great and wanted evolution but needs more refinements and options when i apply it to some projects with revolve option:
- option to identify what part is wanted to apply map art;
- a scale to fit option (much needed with revolve option to make it match start with end;
- the new tool creates unwanted visually rendered artifacts;
- in the end it produces visually really low quality for pixel mapped art;
Can you please improve much more those issues, please?
