ctrl key to change the size of an object
The ctrl key is supposed to make a square arround my selected object which lets me change the size of the object, but this function randomly stopped working.

IDIOTS
You idiots have made it very difficult to create a new document/art board of my dimensions. I thought I was on a real computer until I wanted to create a new document and the choices are limited like I was on an iPad. Whoever designs this creates a program that does great things very difficultly. You do not have a clue how learning users, and therefore all users, think or do. Hire someone who is an expert in human computer interactions. A good one because you don't have one now.

OPEN WITH default app
Since the new update 23.0.1 it is not more possible to start a file default with illustrator.
i tried several times installing and unistalling illustrator different versions.
the problem persist.after 7 installations of new and old versions, removing all files from regirtry i
Now i installed both, CC2019 and CC2018, and the same, it is not possible to change starts only default with cc2018.
(or other apps) but never with CC2019i can start only illustarator 2019 with "open with" on this one time way works.

Illustrator Active Window lags when plugged into an external monitor
I am having an issue where when both a Surface Book 2 or a Macbook Pro 2018 is plugged into an external monitor ONLY the active window pane will lag when my curser enters that section of the screen both on the laptop and the external monitor. Doesnt happen when the computer is on its own but ONLY when second mointor is connected. Need this issue resolved and have done a full restart and reinstal of Ai along with tested this with 2 computers and multiple mice.

new document jumps to last page instead of first page
Occasionally when I create a new document in Illustrator CC, it jumps to the last page. Then once that document is closed and opened, it does it again.
Am I missing something? Never use to do this.

1 voteWe open a file to the last saved view. So by design Illustrator will open to the artboard(page) and zoom level that was when the file was last saved.

New guide
When I try to make a new guide it seems to be lock out. Every other command like hide guides, lock guides, etc work. The only one that doesn't work is make guides.

graph
When changing data in the graph data panel, it's changing the style of the graph itself. I'm used to the graph tool being rubbish, but this is now applying a gradient swatch to all the axis lines when it was previous set to no colour.

Come on now! I am in AI and open a file to work on when a popup appears telling me that a new version of AI is available. However, when the update 'button' is selected nothing happens! There used to be a check for updates under Help yet that does not exist anymore. When it did exist it worked. So what is gong on now? More frustration with AI!

Input Boxes Floating in the Workspace
Hi, since the 2019 release I have 2 floating input boxes in the workspace, I don't know where they belong but they werent there before. If I hover over the '1' it brings up a tooltip of 'Artboard Navigation'

Can not open a saved .ase color book
With the update to Illustrator CC 2019, I now can not open the .ase color book that we've been using for 3 years.
Please fix this as it is an incredibly inconvenient bug to encounter

Close, Save and Quit File Menu options are invisible
After upgrading Illustrator to version 23.0 (Windows 7 Pro), the Close, Save and Quit options under the File Menu are invisible. This is constant.

CMD + D keys not working, and unable to rotate and copy object multiple times around object
Trying to rotate object multiple times around a circle, but CMD + D not working. Also when using rotation box, after clicking 'copy', command box automatically exits without even clicking OK and i'm taken back to drawing board without being given option to copy object again.

Offset Path-Transform Again (Crtl D)
Using Offset Path to enlarge an object, works fine. When I use: Transform Again (Crtl D) to duplicate the same action and make another larger object it no longer works. It worked prior to Illustrator 2019 when I needed to make a concentric object. Please fix.

Illustrator & Mohave
I performed the upgrade to Mojave 10.14 yesterday from High Sierra. Now I am dealing with some really strange & frustrating Finder & Adobe CC behavior. "An unexpected error occurred (error code -8011)" when I try to rename files in Finder.
Illustrator, instead of saving over my open working files, is generating new file versions named in numerical order -without my doing- and I am unable to change these filenames after closing them all and renaming them in Finder. And it sometimes skips a save, too. For example, when I hit Save in Illustrator, new file appears named "Filename 1.ai,…

colour themes/swatches/window never work
colour themes/swatches/window never work. Every time I try to do anything within the colour theme window I'm either asked to sign in when already signed in, or I try to create a theme and it 'saves' but doesn't actually do so, and afterward the theme window goes blank and I have to restart illustrator.
And now instead of doing work I'm here writing this and researching alternatives to adobe products. The sign in thing is driving me nuts.

Not Responding every time PDF saved
Every time I save my work as a PDF file my Illustrator freezes for up to 10 minutes at a time. This makes productivity EXTREMELY slow and frustrating!

macOS Mojave zoom in and out choppy
MacBook Pro 2017 just upgraded to macOS Mojave and the zoom is slow to respond and the artboard moves all over the place. any short term fixes would be appreciated.
