Please make a brush stroke a path instead of a fill. So you don’t have to adjust the outlines from a line you just drawn. Or else this app shouldn’t be called illustrator. Thats the main thing of illustration using adobe illustrator. Apply a look to a line, and then be able to adjust the line instead of a fill which it now creates, not usable at all. It’s also useful for animation purposes to be able to use a path. And the pencil isn’t the same thing as a brush, you want to see the endresult of what you are making the moment you are making it. Hopefully this gets implemented, you would be missing out on a lot of illustrators I think.

Adobe illustrator for iPad Pro Vector Line editing
The Ipad version off illustrator, really needs a way to edit vector lines after they have been drawn. I mean I don't think it's only me that sees line editing as one of the main reasons why I draw with vectors.
Ipad should just as Vectornator be able to edit drawn vector lines and to smooth drawn vector lines, otherwise I may just draw with procreate..
Same thing with adobe fresco vector lines.
If those features would be added the program would be off great use.

Hey Adobe team,
I’m writing here after what feels like a decade of waiting for the iPad to become a true pro tool for design work. When Illustrator finally came to iPad, I thought, finally – this is it. But there’s a huge issue holding everything back: the lack of proper support for mouse, zoom, and keyboard shortcuts.
It’s honestly mind-blowing. Why would you allow mouse and keyboard connections but leave out essential features like zooming with the mouse and supporting standard desktop shortcuts? The constant need to take my hands off the mouse or keyboard just to zoom or pan – it destroys any workflow. Creative work relies on a smooth, uninterrupted flow, and every time I have to switch to touch, it’s like hitting a speed bump.
For those of us who are used to working in full-screen mode with everything going through shortcuts, this constant back-and-forth kills productivity. It’s the difference between being in the zone and getting totally frustrated.
The iPad version of Illustrator is so close to being a game-changer. But until it offers proper, seamless mouse and keyboard functionality, it’s tough to rely on it for serious work. Even though I’d love to.
Is there any chance we can see an update that adds full mouse/keyboard support soon? This seems like such an obvious upgrade and would make a world of difference for those of us who’ve been waiting years to work on iPad with the same pro efficiency we have on desktop.

A must tools as like desktop version
Complete shape tool, width tool, transform tool, effect tools, smooth tool, fix/ pin contextual bar, stroke tool on contextual bar, if I use there it always changes edge and corner from the origin. Which is more work, than change it from properties.

I started the project years ago using the French Curve tools that were available in the Adobe Draw app that is no longer available. I need those tools to complete my book project. Drawing pattern drafts require those tools. Please put the French Curve tools back into the tools area for the iPad Adobe Illustrator app to be used with Apple Pencil. I can’t move forward to complete my project goal. Thank you so much!

Could snapping work on everything? Anchor points, intersections, center points?
I can't get these grouped pivot point circles to align precisely enough to be usable. Rotate center can't snap to anything either.
In the Desktop version, everything snaps precisely and its great for making these little articulating animal designs, which I then laser cut. I’d LOVE this functionality on my iPad, to design on-the-go as I hoped I’d be able to.5 votes -
Scales and line dimension handles
I would like to see architecture and engineer scales in Ai, similar to Cadtools14 plugin. But allow the line segment transform properties to have the scaled X, Y positions as well as the scaled length in the transform dialogue box (as well as the native X, Y and length) so that the user can specify the X, Y, length (and angle) of both the scaled dimension as well as the native dimensions and have the line segment transform accordingly. Also have the rulers and grid lines with the option of the scaled dimensions

Pen tool additional menu
When using the desktop and the Pen tool, I am constantly adding points, subtracting points, and adjusting Bezier curves.
On the iPad, I can add points, but I cannot remove them.
Having the additional menu that the selection arrow has would be very helpful for the Pen tool.5 votes -
Eraser tool on the iPad should work with Shift and Option/Alt shortcuts (like desktop)
On the desktop, Shift constrains the eraser to 45º and Option/Alt erases as a marquee.
Can we please have the same functionality for the iPad? The touch shortcuts don't work with the eraser tool, and neither do the keyboard shortcuts. Thanks!5 votes -
Join Tool
Like on the desktop version of Illustrator, where you can draw overlapping lines, then scrub through them at the intersections to trim them off and simultaneously join them into a single anchor point.
Something like vector trimming on Fresco, but for anchor points.5 votes -
ability to set repeat distance to specific value
It would be very helpful to be able to set the repeat distance (space between repeated objects) to a specific value or have the distance snap to the grid when snap to grid is active.

Select all color swatches to delete at once.
Since I almost always want to delete the standard color swatches in a new document, it would be nice to be able to select all at once to delete, or at least multiples, instead of having to delete one at a time, very inefficient.

Ability to rotate objects exactly
I need to be able to rotate an image by very small increments. It’s possible to do this past 1.8 and 358.2 degrees, but the object always automatically snaps to 0 after/before that. I often need to rotate something by just a few points of a degree to the left or right. Please allow more nuanced rotation, by either adding the ability to rotate by a corner, or pressing a button to rotate something by smaller increments than 10 degrees, or by adding a way to numerically enter an amount, or by getting rid of the ability to snap around the 0 mark.

アピアランスをいじれるようにして頂きたい
デスクトップ版のようにアピアランスを細かくいじれるようにして頂ければ長くiPad版のIllustratorを使いたいと感じました。文字の上にしかアウトラインを追加できない点、パスの変形をより多くの機能を持たせる、デスクトップ版のIllustratorのような効果の追加、パスの追加、まとめて選択した場合縦横比を維持して変形できるようにするをお願いします。

.AIC compatibility with InDesign
I don’t see a way to place .aic files which I’ve manipulated on iPad into an InDesign document. Is the format not supported or is this an issue of file handling? As a separate note, the file organization isn’t very intuitive for Illustrator cloud documents and the slow refresh can often hide files completely.
