We were able to ship support for Art and Calligraphic Brushes in our 2.0 release. But there is more to be done for Import / Export of (atleast) these Brush types. We’re keeping this thread open for your feedback. Thank you!

Surely they didn't release Illustrator without that? But I think you did and that is soul crushing. I actually find it more than perplexing . I have been SO excited about the iPad release. Even to the point I went out and bought a new 12.9" Pro with tons of memory, dreaming about all of the beautiful illustrations I would create in Illustrator. What is really the point of Illustrator on the Ipad without paint brushes? Back to that "other" iPad software, but if you ever do come out with this feature I will be an "insta convert" but until then, nah.

I have used Illustrator for 20 years, literally. I put “learning” another app that is geared towards incorporating the obvious benefits of an ipad over a desktop app. I was SO excited about the release. I even bought a new IPAD PRO and keyboard so I could be off and running with Illustrator for the IPAD. When it was released I spent hours trying to figure out what “I was doing wrong”. When it finally hit me that there was NO CUSTOM BRUSH OPTIONS I was appalled. I still am. What could adobe be thinking? Or are you not thinking? What good is an ipad app without brush features? It truly is unbelievable that Adobe would even think of releasing such a second hand app that clearly had very little serious thought in its creation? I will wait for one more release, if you can’t get your act together there are QUITE A FEW competitors that put Illustrator for IPAD to TOTAL SHAME. How many customers are frustrated like me? I HATE the idea of having to learn a whole new Illustration Program, but you are not giving me much choice. It’s time too rise to the times or get off the literary “pot”. Please.
