Same issues. Freezes very easily. Brand new 6th gen iPad Pro. 512gb version. Only a 1.2mb file. Once I move the image or resize it frozen.

I have iPad 8th generation I purchase just for Illustrator. It seems to work fine for awhile then just freezes or crashes. I thought it was just my iPad but I see I'm not the only one having this problem. So discouraging!

I have the same issue!! It is sooo frustrating. I try showing the turtle outline and nothing happens and when I collapse and expand the layer the object that used to have the turtle outline is blank and not selectable. I can « undo » and then collapse and expand the layer and the object will show up in the layers panel again but the same thing happens if I try and show the turtle outline.

RE: Objects disappearing when trying to show them and then the layer become un selectable.

Nonstop. I can’t even resize an image without it taking forever then crashing.

I’m having the same issue. It went back and forth like that and it took me hours to fix just one simple image.

App freezes after a few strokes and becomes non responsive.

It’s disheartening to see this original post was made in 2020 and it’s now almost 2022 with no fix?

I bought a brand new iPad 9th gen and Apple Pencil specifically to use illustrator. - it’s the only app I’ve installed so far.

Please Adobe fix the issue or I won’t be able to use it.

I wish there was a multiple selection available.
1. iPad app force closes or freezes almost constantly, especially the last 2 days

2. After multiple device restarts and reinstalation of the app, it still does both freeze and force closes, also will force close when attempting to open a file.

3. Sometimes file opens but to a blank screen, just a little “Artb…” in the middle where my canvas/work should be.

4. When able to successfully open file, and see the images on the screen, as soon as I select anything (a layer, an object, a tool, even the zoom in/out, the art disappears to a blank screen or force closes the app.

Haven’t received any pop up window/ errors so I dont know where to find anything to help the tech support, but I’m on a deadline so please please please fix it soon!

Very frustrating. November 2021 version freezes when choosing a font on iPad Pro 2020. Didn’t save any of my work for at least an hour. Awful.

Same issue! It’s frustrating forking out so much money for the subscription and also to buy this iPad just so I could use illustrator and it doesn’t even work!

It’s become worse each time I’ve used it, now it’s at the point of doing 1 stroke and it freezes.

This is still happening…. 1year later. What is the deal Adobe? We expect more from you.

Same thing is happening to me it will freeze after 45 seconds of doing work then I have to close out of the app and swipe up and once I go back in it doesn’t even save my work. Honestly, it’s so frustrating and feels pointless to use… It’s wasting so much time and erasing so much work.

Same thing is happening to me. Brand new iPad, illustrator is literally the only app I have on here so far. I can draw for maybe 4 minutes then everything freezes. have to close out and reopen and it doesn't save.

I have been having so many issues lately. A few months back when I first downloaded the app, I had issues with freezing/crashing due 'too many layers' according to another user, so I followed that advice and all went quite well for a while after.... Then after one of the updates, I have continuously had issues with the app freezing- this happens during saves, trying to select a layer, and often coincides with things disappearing after I made them invisible and tried to turn them back to visible. This has happened on new documents, old documents... Some of my purchased templates that worked a few months ago can't be opened on ipad anymore.. It's getting to be really frustrating. The amount of time I spend going back and redoing work because of glitches and having to find work arounds is becoming very time consuming... PLEASE fix the bugs before worrying about new features... I beg of you... New features are kind of worthless if you can't get the app itself to work.....
