So it’s obviously not fixed, and we all know it.

While the cursor gets changes into the horizontal/vertical two-headed arrow, the center handles for the bounding box indeed don’t appear, if the width/height of the art (here just an orthogonal line) is small enough.

Please continue to share you thought, screenshots, GIFs. It’s time to re-review this again.

In Indesign when you select a thin small object you see all transform handles - in corners and on the edges ... so you can change only width of the object without impacting height.
    BUT
in Illustrator when object is too small only corner handles are shown. So I need to zoom in a lot for those middle handles to show up. And it's frustrating sometimes.. because you can grab by corner of course and depend on those automatic guidelines who doesnt allow object to change in 2 dimensions, but it doesn't work if there are too many objects.
So please make all corner and side handles visible, even if object is very small.
(in attached screenshot, Indesign bounding box is on top, illustrator bounding box on the bottom part)
    Thank you

When I thread more than one area type together, text hides in some places. In the attached screenshot you can see blue lines where the text is... but it doesn’t show up. If i change styles, sometimes it shows... but it’s some kind of glitch.

Starting with version 29.3, Illustrator got the 'Embed permitted fonts for file preview' option in the Illustrator Options save dialog.

Currently it’s disabled by default, because there were multiple confused complaints on the changed behavior.

When missing in your current system, fonts will render as previews in the documents that were saved with this option enabled — it 'bakes' these outlines in. When we try to edit one though, we get a warning and the font becomes substituted, as before.

For more details and help, please see this article: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/illustrator/using/find-missing-fonts.html

However, this is not 'Convert text to outlines on open' as we requested it. The option does not provide a way to do that for all the embedded outline previews, and Ai still doesn’t allow to select these at once. So do please upvote the request and comment and tell the team about your experience with this option, for it…
