    I totally agree that opening PDF in Illustrator can be tricky.
    BTW opening from Libraries can save A LOT of time (sometimes)...

    Sorry I cannot reproduce again.
    Apparently closing the file and now after reopening this behaviour is not showing up.
    Fortunately I have the screenshot otherwise you think I'm a fool :)
