I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 23.0.6 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.
You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html
Thank you for all the feedback. Keep it coming!

After last update it still doesn't work. Cannot deactivate options: Fill New Type Objects With Placeholder text and Show Character Alternates in preferences.
Please fix it.

The same problem here.
Two options in Type section are non-clickable.
There is a bug in preferences window. Switching between sections and then returning to Type section makes two bottom lines dissappear (Fill New Type Objects With Placeholder text and Show Character Alternates)rbrk supported this idea ·

I have the same problem (Windows 10, NVIDIA GPU with latest drivers).
In my case problem occurs in current document window only. Other opened document windows work fine until I switch to outline view and go back to preview in each window. Closing and reopening document fixes the problem but it's not the solution.
