Turned on precise cursors to stop circle at brush cursor, now I have a large X AND a circle. I used to love drawing in Illustrator and now I hate it, have spent hours just trying to get brush strokes in right places.

How can I turn off the brush size indicator circle at the end of the brush tool? It is very annoying, lags behind brush and can't see drawing as well.

The solution is pushed into Global Availability build 28.6.
The team intends to add another command into this menu, allowing to copy the path. That’s it.
This request crucially lacks feedback from all the voters. Please comment back: do it if you don’t like how it works, and do it if you do.

Whenever I open CC 2018 I get a big popup in the right corner with "update now" etc. No way to turn it off immediately. I have updated! I am using the older version for a reason. It happens every time I open 2018 now.

Starting from the February 2024 release, version 28.3, this option is no longer enabled by default for new documents. If you had hyphenation enabled in an existing document, Ai will respect this.

2019 version, tried UI interface, on iMac retina the small setting is too small and very hard to see. The next step up is so big can only fit 1/2 the panels on screen. I know it seems we are never happy but is there a way to get something in between?

Here is the info I got from several user sites (searched many places) - "The pen and brush tool icon will be replaced by a cross if you use the Caps Lock or check Use Precise Cursors in the Preferences." So it sounded like the circle will be turned off, making it look like a bug.
I cannot tell you when this started, I have been using Adobe products since Ver 1 and do not have access to older versions of course. Thank you.
