I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 26.2.1 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.
You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html
Thank you for all the feedback. Keep it coming!

We are excited to announce that this feature is now available in BETA (starting V 29.1.28).
The new 'Generate color info' helps you share color information with others.
To use this, just select the colors from the swatch panel and click on 'generate color info' in the menu options.
You can customise the size, layout, color codes etc.
PS : Currently we only support CMYK values but other color codes such as RGB, HSB, spot vs process colors are in pipeline and we will ship them shortly.
Please try out this feature and let us know what you think!
Thanks
Saurav

Recolor now can be used for Freeform gradients correctly, allowing access to all colors used in it.
An error occurred while saving the comment Jay Rogers commentedAs with other colors/gradients, it would be ideal if the new Freeform gradient can be adjusted with the Recolor Artwork tool. For example if I have a monochromatic red gradient setup and want to duplicate it identically but shift it to a monochromatic blue setup, I don't seem to be able to do that currently. When selecting the freeform gradient affected shape, the Recolor Artwork tool doesn't change anything. Please allow Recolor Artwork tool to shift/adjust the color of a freeform gradient. Thanks!

I upgraded to v26 hoping that would fix the problem. The latest upgrade to 26.0.1 still has this issue. It doesn't occur frequently now, but it definitely happens. It seems to be occuring in files where there are hi-res placed images and the file size overall is large. I'm not sure if it's related to memory or something else since the fan always gets kicked on, but it has happened a few random times since upgrading. Closing the program, waiting a few minutes and restarting Illustrator stops this log generating process.
