An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedIf you have an object with a normal gradient, you can switch between linear and radial with no issue. If you then change to freeform, your colors change to a preset range of colors and thus have to input the original colors.
The existing colors should remain a part of the freeform similar to switching from linear and radial.Anonymous supported this idea · -

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 23.0.6 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.
You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html
Thank you for all the feedback. Keep it coming!

Sorry, I did't get notified of a response.
So while Fit to Selection works as an option, it's just annoying that fit to artwork bounds includes all the artwork that is clipped in a clipping mask.
Making an action is not a bad idea though, I will give that a shot, although it would have been nice to have it implemented as a drop down option.
Edit: I've just attempted to make an action to resize the artboard, but actions does not record the change in artboard size. So unfortunately, this is not an option.
Thanks for the advice.
