    So it’s obviously not fixed, and we all know it.

    While the cursor gets changes into the horizontal/vertical two-headed arrow, the center handles for the bounding box indeed don’t appear, if the width/height of the art (here just an orthogonal line) is small enough.

    Please continue to share you thought, screenshots, GIFs. It’s time to re-review this again.

    It would be great if we could EXPORT .ai docs as PDF, like many have suggested, but also that when you do that, to choose the size the PDF file will have, like in Photoshop. I work on huge illustrations, and sometimes I need just a smaller PDF to share or print, and the workflow to do this is a hassle: save as pdf, open on photoshop, resize there, hope for the best, or open on acrobat, use the very flaky preflight fixes. please use the truckloads of CC subscription money to actually make the product better instead of only more buggy.

    There is no true PDF Export in Illustrator, because Illustrator allows to have editable PDFs with .ai-content stored within. Other apps does not allow that, and some users heavily rely on editable PDFs.

    Attemps to solve this were made, but there is no clear solution so far. Still we hope to find one.

    The intended way to get a PDF (without loosing your data) at the moment would be to use Save a Copy command that saves a separate copy of your file to PDF instead of Save As which keeps a saved file open.
