    Based on some recent comments reopening this. The comment, though, are confusing as of now and do indicate to right version where a break in functionality could be established and different people reporting different behavior with same version. Team will investigate this again.

    I'm currently on 30.3 and still have the problem. That being said, I had an employee who wanted to design and installed illustrator on his laptop (student version). I tested on his and it worked as expected, so I'm at a loss. Not sure if it's a settings or a preferences issue that needs to be reset. Don't really want to go through the whole uninstall, clean, reinstall process.

    8 Years and this is still an issue....
    Restarting Illustrator solves the issue about half of the time, the other half I have to restart my computer.

    Even had this happen opening an old file. Like years old. It duplicated 4 & 6.

    Still an Issue. Even with small numbers of artboards. I have 4 and it's 1,2,4,4.
    Many have said it has to do with lots of artboards. Not my case. I see this all the time under 10 as well.

    I agree! As well as displaying the exported file size like the traditional save for web feature.
