Select non-default eGPU for hardware acceleration
We use external GPUs as provided to us by Apple in the External Graphics Development Kit and want to use these eGPUs instead of default GPUs built into the MacBooks.
We have the fix available in the latest release. Please update Illustrator using Adobe Creative Cloud application to the latest build for version Illustrator CC 23.0.
Please refer to our knowledge base FAQ – https://illustrator.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/1844590 if you face difficulty in update.
Or get in touch with us at any of the other support channels – https://helpx.adobe.com/support.html

Tried the latest build of Illustrator 23.0 on macOS 10.13.5 and it didn't recognize either the internal GPU or the external one. CC 2018 at least recognizes the internal GPU.
Had a hard time running the build also, because Gatekeeper kept throwing an unsigned application error. Maybe this is preventing AIGPUSniffer from running.

The integration seems to work nicely, even on macOS Mojave. I'll keep using it and will let you know about anything that pops up.
