Color Picker live preview!
When i choose color with color picker there is no live preview. I have to click OK to view selected color and if I don't like it, have to do all this again. Do it as it is in Photoshop.
Live preview of color is now live in Illustrator 27.1.1, for Color Picker dialog, Color panel, Properties and Control panel, and Appearance panel.
It works in GPU mode only.

Hmm, this isn't a thing yet. I pretty sure if Adobe plans to fix this they'd have to start from scratch. I hope they could find a way to fix this.
This issue is a significant disadvantage of Adobe Illustrator. Affinity Designer even has a live color preview.

Adobe really doesn't care that it takes you ten steps to accomplish something that should only take one. Adobe, please fix the UX disaster which is Adobe Illustrator. Don't you have plenty of money rolling in with that subscription model?

Yes please. This is a standard feature on many free or cheap design programs. Love you guys but you gotta fix this before the public learns about this.

When you double click a foreground or background swatch and change the color of an object it should change the color while you are moving around in the picker, or at the very least there should be a preview button like filters, etc. It's brutally annoying to have to click OK each time to preview a new color.

I cannot believe I would say this, but, even though illustrator is great, COREL DRAW is WAY BETTER with the USER EXPERIENCE!

Guys. You have this option in aperance setings. In ilustrator go to window > apperance. There you can change color for fill and stroke with the live preview. Inside the pannel you have also color mixer and swatches. The apperance settings are only vissible when you have selected elementon the artboard. Try it out and tell me what do you think.

Currently, if I'm changing the colour of a circle (for example), I have to choose a colour on the picker tool then press 'ok' to see how it looks and go back into the colour picker to keep changing it slightly. If you could see a live preview of how the colour would look in the background against all the other elements, this would save so much time!
This tool is currently available in Photoshop but not Illustrator.

Bump. This is unacceptable.

Bumping this up, this have been driving me nuts for ages. Also it would be awesome if the color pallet in "Color" tool could be displayed in the same range as in "Color Picker", you know, one color at a time. I shared a video of the problem here: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2372199

I'm also pretty sure that color picker used to Preview. It's a no-brainer.

OMG THIS IS SO ******* FRUSTRATING, YES STUPID ASININE ADOBE *******, MAKE ILLUSTRATOR LIKE PHOTOSHOP CONTROLS - don't make me click Preview to see what I'm doing, don't make me commit a color to see what it looks like, don't make me have to reflect to flip things around - make a flip horizontal or vertical so I can map them to hotkeys. WTF Adobe?!?! You just hate and mock us by not doing the most obvious workflow improvements.

Not having this is a bug, not a missing feature. Completely disrupts work-flow.

I believe this is really a bug. I'm pretty sure the color picker did used to preview.

Hilarious that this isn't a thing yet.

I am new to Illustrator, and this is the 2nd question I search for.. Are you telling me this is not "already" a feature in Illustrator? Seriously, in an illustration design program? Well of course I vote this one up, and I expect related developer people will read this.

This is necessary! It makes working so much easier when I can SEE the colours. Please fix this guys.

Big time agree. Its a major pain to make fine-tuned color adjustments without a live preview like in photoshop.
