Right Click Menu Enhancements (Cut, Copy, Paste, Lock, Unlock, etc)
Can you please add simple tasks like "Lock / UnLock" and "Cut, Copy, Paste" to the the right-click menu? This would help speed up workflow and make illustrator more integrated with other Adobe products. I can right-click my mouse and quickly copy and paste in Indesign and even in Microsoft Word, but not in Illustrator? It's odd. Please consider fixing this. Thank you.
Illustrator today has Cut, Copy, Paste and other Paste variants in the context menu.
However, Lock and Hide are missing still. Please continue voting and commenting if you need these items.

I agree. A contextual menu would improve the ability to lock/unlock and show/hide layers. Also, probably a different topic already brought up, a key combination for Paste Remembers Layers would be Fantastic!

I just want to be able to open a context menu when right-clicking layers.

Posting again though others have previously requested, because ****, this should be a thing already - at least allow preference options to change the right-click menu. My mouse is exhausted, having traveled thousands of miles to the edit menu to copy and paste smdh (and yes, I know shortcuts exist, but I hate needing a multi-key press over a simple, single click)

Yes, please. It’s super annoying having some Adobe apps with this but others without. Even if you make it a preference or plug-in. Please add it.

Only 30 years waiting to add a basic feature, standard across every other application 😀

Yes please. Illustrator should have have better accessibility options in 2021. Have you every tried using Illustrator when you have hurt one hand? Even a setting to turn on an option like this would be appreciated.

It has been a standard Windows thing to include shortcuts to edit commands like cut, copy, and paste in the alt (right-click) menu. Would be wonderful if this was incorporated into Illustrator. It's not only a normal intuitive place to look for those commands, there are actually accessibility benefits as well that would make it a valuable add. In addition to cut, copy, and paste, we could use paste in place, paste in front, paste in back, and clear commands in that menu. Thanks for considering!

Example:
How to copy a layer in illustrator and paste it right below it?
For a person who seldom ever use illustrator is not that fast to find a way to do it.
In relation to microsoft excel, a much popular software, how do you copy a row?
When I started using Excel without knowing anything, I would just right click on the row, and it would give me options of what could do, and one of the options was "copy" the row.
When using Illustrator on how to copy a layer I couldn't find any options around the layer panel to copy it, and right clicking on the layer wouldn't give me the option of copying it either. I had to search YouTube and find out the way of doing it was " click on the layer, shift and drag"... Suuure, it is a similar as if you copy an object, how couldn't I figure it out? ....
I believe the problem with Adobe is that people are expected to learn it, but the software is not intuitive enough for people with zero exposure to explore it and find solutions easily on their own. Rather than having people memorize so many shortcuts the options of what you can do with certain things should be presented on a simple right click of the item.

Why should I go to the menu bar navigate through Edit section only to access: Copy, Paste functions
It's better if you could add a function where I can just right click and be able to copy, paste, paste in place etc

Yes! I don't know why it doesn't have this. I want my Photoshop flow to work in here as well.

Please.
Why doesn't Illustrator have these basic copy, cut and paste settings in the context menu like almost every other program? It's just super annoying when we go back and forth between programs. Why do I need to use the keyboard or a drop down menu >-< instead of the super useful context menu.

Illustrator should add copy/paste functionality to the right-click context menu like InDesign already has. Comic book letterers like myself primarily use illustrator to do our jobs & I would save MANY, MANY steps per page if they would do this. Thanks!
