  2. Separations Preview Panel has the same layout as Swatch Panel

    When using Separations Preview it would be very beneficial to have the colour list arranged in the same order, format and groups as the Swatches Panel.

    This could allow grouped colours to be turned on or off in groups and matching the list order would make the whole thing more logical.

  3. Font menu starts where you stop when opening list

    The font list always starts at the top when you expand the menu. If you type "M" to jump forward in the list you can only view those "M" fonts before you scroll back to "A" (top of list). If you type "My" you can only see fonts with "My" and nothing else.

    The old versions would always expand the menu so that you would be at the font you have currently selected. I would love this feature back.

    I explore fonts a lot, the current situation with the menu is really debilitating.

  4. Panel undocking delay, PLEASE

    There should be a delay to undock panels. When I click a panel icon and accidentally perform an imperceptible drag (like, clicking quickly and not even sensing that the pointer has slipped a millimeter on the icon), the panel immediately undocks, and this happens all the time (and did not happen in previous versions of Illustrator -- WHY the change???).

    There must be a delay before the panel actually undocks. UI design 101, if you ask me.

  5. Selectable content in the Links Palette info

    Selectable content in the Links Palette info pane. Currently, the only interactive line is the path link. This would be useful for example to have the ability to select and copy the percentage of scale so that I can place a second image at the same scale in a separate function.

  6. Can't access the document directly after double clicking on the file and it gets stucked on the "recent cc files" page.

    even tried to double click on the document after the ai screen pops up with the recent cc files page, but still can't access them. same goes to the create new and open buttons.

  7. Show link image while resizing or moving

    Instead of seeing just the bounding box when transforming linked files, why not show the content of the link? Transforming linked files, image or vector based, would be more intuitive. This currently requires a workaround.

    This is what Illustrator is capable of now with Preferences > GPU Performance options turned on.

    It should work for both linked or embedded images, vector or raster, exactly as you described.

    If it does not happen for you — please report it as a bug, and provide screenshots or screen recordings of the behavior, along with full OS and app specs.

  8. Multiple Artboards Selection for deletion

    Since we dont have the multiple artboard seletion for (Deletion,Editing),Every time user has to select on the single Artboard and have to do the changes, that consumes more time if the artboards are more.

    In easier terms ,Its hard to select everytime the artboards and to move it...

  9. Cycle transparency modes with middle mousewheel

    In the transparency panel (upon mouse-hover), cycle through transparency modes (Multiply, overlay, etc) with middle mouse wheel scrolling.

    Similar to the wheel on "The Price Is Right."

    Would be even cooler to preview all transparency modes at once within a thumbnail window.

  10. Properties Panel, values are not selected by clicking on the symbol in front of their field

    If I click on a symbol in a panel for a property like W or H or X or Y the current value gets selected. This does not work in the Properties panel, nothing gets selected and I have to double click inside the property field to select it.
    It slows down and is not consistent with the way it has worked for years.

    Hi, for 5K screen users is it possible to increase the size of the layer thumbnails more than 100px ? if not it can be a request I think :). thank you

  12. Full stroke style capabilities in touch workspace

    The stroke currently only lets you adjust the size of it, you should also be able to control the style of that stroke, whether you want it to be dashed or the shape of it in the touch workspace.

  13. Top Tab Ordering

    Is there a way to order the tabs at the top when multiple files are open?
    It is a real pain to reorder the tabs at the top, so that you can sequence through the pages in order of file name / date etc.
    It seems silly to have the top tabs, but not be able to have them automatically order themselves...
    (unless there is a way already)

  15. Add more options to preferences

    Every time you guys change something on these programs it seems to affect me. Most of the time it is not in a good way. I believe this could be solved by allowing the user more options in preferences to turn on and off these options.
    For instance.
    You changed the way the the zoom in and zoom out works. It used to be it would just zoom out directly from where you are but now it zooms out from the object selected which is very annoying.
    I'm sure that works for some people but if it was a preference…

  16. Ability to customize menu bar commands (hide, as in Photoshop) and reorder

    You've added all sorts of stuff to Ai menu that I don't use.
    Let us remove Bridge, Stock icons, GPU from topmenu.

    I'd love to edit the left toolbar as well.

  17. Density pixels and screen pixels unit to include to design mobile apps

    Always as designer we have to calculate or check the calculation in other sites for dp or sp to px. It will be helpful if you include these units in adobe illustator.

  19. Add color to toolbar icons.

    The new 'Objects on a Path' tool has brought color to the toolbar. It now stands out a lot.

    I have a bunch of plugins that add tools to the toolbar, and have a bunch of cryptic monochromatic icons. Perhaps it is time for both Adobe and plugin developers to bring some color to the toolbar so we have one more thing to help us remember which extremely specialized tool we use once in a blue moon is which?

    (This also may require a switch in the prefs to revert to largely monochromatic icons for people who are colorblind and/or…

  20. Show file previews in Open Recent Files

    Show a thumbnail of Recent Files, much like how the Icon View in the Mac OS Finder displays them.
