  2. The default color space should be RGB.

    It is 2023, with the changes in printing technologies, Ai should have RGB as the default color space. I know that there are long time users who probably live in cmyk, but aren't best practices to work in RGB and then convert to cmyk for the particular job?

  4. Add separation preview toggle to Share for Review

    When SHARE FOR REVIEW with a stake holder
    Since it is basically a PDF, it would be nice if there was a way to toggle of the separations, especially if it is a spot color only set up and separations are important? or process and a spot color? Is this possible

  5. Double tap keyboard shortcut key to open dialogue box.

    This should speed up workflow for advanced users and help students learn tools & access dialogue windows faster.

    For example: ‘W’ brings up the blend tool.
    ‘W+W’ brings up the blend options dialogue

                ‘R’ brings up the rotate tool.
            ‘R+R’ brings up the rotate dialogue.

    I understand you can double click the blend toolbar icon to bring up the dialogue, or go to properties to adjust rotation. Why not double tap to stream line the entire process.

  6. Add RANDOMIZE button (RANDOM SEED) for 3D Materials like Substance 3D has.

    Add a Randomize button (RANDOM SEED) for the sbsar materials that we import when working with 3D within Illustrator. This way, 3D objects, look different within your work. Example from Stager as to what I mean that would like implemented in Ai.

    한국어 버전으로 작업을 할 때 언어가 한국어로 선택되어 있으면 단축키가 작동하지 않습니다. 다른 어도비 프로그램 중에는 한국어로도 단축키를 설정할 수 있는 것이 있습니다. 일러스트레이터도 한국어로 지정되어 있을 때도 단축키가 적용될 수 있길 부탁드립니다.

  11. Alt+drag to duplicate multiple spline knots and segments

    Up until the Illustrator 23.1.1 update, splines with overlapping knots and multiple selected spline segments could be duplicated easily by:

    1) using the "A" select tool to select individual knots or segments of a path,
    2) region-dragging to select several knots,
    3) begin dragging then quickly hold down the ALT key before releasing
    This would duplicate the knot and it's connected and the newly created connected segments. If only segments were selected, then the new segments were created while dragging, <important!> keeping their anchor knots where they originated at either end of the spline. It was a very efficient tool…

  12. Existing documents open to your preferred units, even if they were created in different units

    So I often work with people in different countries and we often have different unit preferences. I work in mm but when I open files from fellow creatives in America for example, they are often using inches.

    Now I thought that my preferences being set to mm would mean it would show the files in mm, but apparently this only applies to new documents you create, not to existing files. This seems so crazy to me given the digital, remote working, globally collaborative world we live in today.

  13. Send crash reports to plugin developers.

    Today I was exploring a plugin. It is a very nice plugin that does some very powerful things but it is also a little fragile, and it crashed a lot while I was using it. I quickly learnt to save a lot while working with this plugin.

    And the crash report dialogue kept on piling up. But I knew it would be useless as this was very likely to be due to something I was doing to make the plugin break, rather than Illustrator break. What're AI's developers gonna do with this crash log? Nothing. It's useless to you.

  14. Print Nesting

    Illustrator needs the ability to perform efficient object nesting. This would greatly help in making files for printing and cutting as well as saving loads of time. Please add nesting to Illustrator!

  15. Rasterize multiple objects to separate images at once

    It would be great to select multiple objects and apply the rasterize settings to each of them as seperate images in one go.

    currently i have to select each object and rasterize them individually. would save a lot of time if there was a checkbox that allowed you to apply it to all of the objects separately instead of rasterizing them together as one big image

  16. Error message – Wacom driver (since updated to version 25.0)

    My old Wacom-Board Intuos 3 PTZ-631W still works pretty good and I never had trouble with it while using Adobe products until I updated to version 25.0 on October, 22nd. Yet I had several crashes. Unfortunately Wacom is not providing new drivers, so the recommended solution in the error message does not work.
    Do you have any other idea or maybe you could solve this in the next version.

  17. App icons

    Can you please update the icons for your apps (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, etc.) to a new design and color scheme? I do NOT like the same colors for the icons that 2020/2021 versions use. I'm forced to find replacement icons for your apps. At least include some alternative icons for your products.

  18. Embed locked photos + objects (without unlocking them first)

    Currently, we must unlock an image before embedding it. An example workflow where this in inconvenient is if I am preparing a doc for sharing and I would like to embed all images in a file for convenience. Or perhaps I have many small linked files that I want to embed for ease, like a complex illustration with many bitmaps.
    Currently I do this:
    1/I select all images in my links palette.
    2/ click embed
    3/ receive alert that AI won't embed any locked images. (either I prefer them locked or I locked and forgot)
    4/ I unlock all images.…

  20. Commemoratively change 'Edit in Isolation Mode' to read 'Edit in SELF-isolation Mode'

    For a little (temporary) comic relief during the pandemic and also as a small commemoration to the difficulty and pressure many of us are feeling from living and working in lockdown.

    Perhaps also a nice way to remind each other that, albeit socially isolated, we're also connected through this crisis too.

    Also, does anyone else emember when illustrator included Easter Eggs like; show number of clicks?
