Let me turn off the obnoxious alternate glyphs popups

Because experienced users hate popups popping up all over their work!

We have the fix available in the latest release. Please update Illustrator using Adobe Creative Cloud application to the latest build for version Illustrator CC 23.0.

Why make it so hard to delete an obnoxious effect in a program used by so many experienced designers who don't need them? I can't get rid of glyph bound or smart guides. Horrible!

The option to turn off Alternate Glyphs is available in the latest update (23.0), which went live on Oct 15.

The option is available in Preference > Type > Show Character Alternates.

yes, we need an option.

Glyphs popup has a potential problems.
There is a possibility which is changed to the font which isn't intended by the user's wrong operation(like an accidentally click).
