Was hoping this would be possible. What a bother that it is not.

Adobe is 20 yrs behind the times--FREEHAND (anyone remember?) had an awesome feature handle "artboards"--an art board palette--awesome and swap dartboard between file. Come on Adobe get busy.
Please prioritize this! I'm constantly needing to copy artboards in one illustrator file and pasting in another. It would be so much more convenient than needing to add artboards and manually enter dimensions before copying art over. This would save me so much time.
Also, can we drag artboards and their contents to a library? Cool!

Please improve this if possible. Sketch has this function and it's very handy.

Simple implementation - using the artboard tool, select an artboard, either context click on the label or just edit > copy to bring the artboard name, size and contents into the buffer, navigate to another document and paste. Simples! Now make it so ....
Same here. Really needed just a simple copy&pastle of Artboard's&artwok.
For now, I can only copy artboard's in the current document by selecting them and then holding Alt+ mouse drag.
So, it's possible to copy them already, but only in the current document.
Should be easy to allow copy to clipboard and pastle into any other document.
give us the ability to copy an artboard from project A and paste the copied artboard to another open project file (Project B)
