The keyboard stops to work
The keyboard stops to work with no reason apparent. I have to restart the app to fix it (for a while).

I am seeing the same issue.
my working device: Macbook Pro M1 2020
OS: macOS
Version: 13.2
Process Architecture: arm64
Built-In Memory: 8192 MB
Illustrator version: 27.2 Latest updateI am using an external keyboard and sometimes the error occurs only on illustrator, I can't press any button the same one when I switch to a newer keyboard or build-in keyboard, I think the problem is not with my keyboard but with the software since I've used the different keyboard even build-in on but the problem still persists.
sometimes the arrow button not working, something tab, sometimes z, but it works perfectly fine on my keyboard test or adobe photoshop latest update
The only solution is restart the app and work again perfectly normally, please look into it since it's really disturb my work
I have never had this issue before since January 2023

I am having the same issue. Anytime I minimize the app and come back to it keyboard commands stop working. This really hinders my flow of work. As the others have pointed out, the only way to get around this is to close the app completely and re-open it.

I am seeing the same issue. I am using an iPad Pro 12.9” (2020 Model) with a Smart Keyboard. When I am trying to use a keyboard short cut the keyboard is un-responsive, however it will still work with typing, and the trackpad curser works. If I switch to an other App, the keyboard is fully working and the built in iPad OS hot keys such as Command + Tab work fine. To gain back the functionality back I need to force quit illustrator and re launch. It seems to work for a while but I find it reproduced after the Lock Screen locks, and when going back to illustrator the hot keys will not respond.

Keyboard input quits working; haven’t figured out why.
But if I close the file and reopen, it works again.
