The entire document fails due to the use of area text linked to different pages. Text is lost, the file freezes, won't save, or is stuck

Preview Only Text rendered as moved compared to the original
The new Preview Only Text feature is bugged. Attached is a screen shot of a comparison of the original document and Illustrators Preview Only text. The copy actually moves quite a bit from it's original position. The text is area type and within a box if that is a clue. This should be a huge concern for anyone trusting the preview only text.

Fonts used previously won’t load and miss in the document
Many of the fonts aren't opening properly on the working files from the previous version of IIllustrator. It appears as I have no these fonts, but I sure had yesterday in 2024 version, so it's there :d

Area type vertical alignment and auto size doesn't work
I've been using Illustrator on my Intel Mac under Sequoia and last versions lets you choose center, bottom or justify alignment but it always acts as top and the auto size option is disabled.
2 votesPlease post a screen recording of this issue. In Illustrator 2024 Auto-resize is disabled when alignment is "Center", "Bottom" or "Justify", and Auto-resize works fine when alignment is set to "Top". I see the same behavior in Illustrator 2025 as well.

Paragraph copy converts to individual letters, or small small groups of letters
I have noticed this issue with some increasing frequency: where paragraphs of copy suddenly appear as individual letters or small groupings. These letters all appear on their own layer. I am unable to grab all the text, or modify an entire word. Thankfully, I save rounds of files, or work by copy and pasting , so I'm generally able to grab copy from an older version, but this is maddening to say the least. 和文組版中、縦組みの文字列でタブ設定した後の半角英数字を「縦中横」で縦にしようとするとアプリケーションがクラッシュする。また、「縦中横」設定した文字の前にタブを打ち込むと同じようにクラッシュする。

Cannot select type baseline with text tool when snap to grid is active.
Is there an option I'm missing here with the newer versions of Illustrator? I have to key command the grid on and off constantly just to highlight small captions or type.

Icon font shows Tofu
I created a font with emoji. I installed it in the Application support/Adobe/Fonts folder as I do with all fonts I test. Emoji characters like duck show two Tofu characters, although in the glyphs panel it is displayed correctly, please see attached screenshot.
In all other applications, the character can be displayed.

Illustrator 24.1.3 Type tool and text refresh
I've been experiencing an error and annoying Type tool bug since the last update to AI 24.1.3. It happens when I type something and later I go back to edit it (for example adding extra text, fixing a type) and the change does not appear to occur until I switch to Outline view. Alternatively, if I option-drag the text path the duplicate path shows the correct text. This is an old error (at least in appearance) that was fixed several versions ago and now it's back.

After using a Chinese type input, some of the punctuations are stuck in Chinese after switch input/typeface/restart

This issue also effects Photoshop, please notify those guys as well!

Text shifts to the left when updating in new version 23.1.1
When updating the text (created in old version 22.1 ) on new version 23.1.1 the text shifts to the left. This is very annoying.

Type objects duplicated on top and converted to outlines
Sometimes when opening up a file, type objects are copied and placed exactly above the original type object, and converted to outlines. There are sometimes anywhere from 1 to 3 duplicated objects. It usually affects every type object in the document. The same issue has been affecting my colleagues' computers, and we often work off of the same documents and share them with each other.
We all have 15" MacBook Pros, using either Illustrator version 2018 or 2019, on Mojave.

1. What is the format of the document used, .ai or .pdf?
2. Does it happen with all the the type objects in a document, or only for some specific fonts, or point / area type only?
3. Do these have any effects or custom appearance applied?

text change when opening in Illustrator CC 2019
Illustrator 23.0.1 on Mac OS 10.12.6
I have issues when I open a document that was created in Illustrator CC2017 in CC 2019. It seems that the text spacing is different, so sometimes some characters are changing to the next line!

Changing the Japanese font in the Type tool does not update it.

Adobe Illustrator (Desktop version) 30.2.1Changing the Japanese font in the Type tool does not update it.
This occurs even when "Enable missing glyph protection" is initially set to OFF and no other settings are changed.This does not occur in macOS Vetura13.7.8

Fonts not showing after update to 29.8
Intermittent issue there are only a handful of basic fonts avaible to choose from (myriad, arial and a couple others) where as I have thousands installed.
Have downgraded to previous veriosn of illustrator for now (29.7.1) and it works again fine1 vote -
Installed Fonts not showing
Previously installed fonts not showing anymore. Says the fonts are missing but it worked previously and maybe 1 in 10 times it will have no error and the fonts will show. These fonts exist on my PC so it's not a cloud issue as far as i can see.

「割注で2段に指定した文字」と「通常フォントサイズの文字」の字間をカーニングおよびトラッキングで広げることはできますが、詰めることができません。環境設定でトラッキング「100/1000em」で設定もしています。割注設定している文字の字間は詰めることはできるのですが…。

Text style in a mess when editing text. They appear ok in Preview mode. I can't complete the task or job.
I am trying to edit this text in illustrator 29.7.1. Each time a type, make an amendment to the existing text it scrambles all of the settings and messes everything up (please see screenshots of before and after). I've tried to output to PDF but this also displays in a mess. Please let me know if there is a fix so I don't have to abandon this job and start again. Thanks, D
