Lost work - no auto save and no prompt/warning that your work is not saved !!

I'n not Greg, but here is a screen recording of the experience I've had, as well as the file I was working on. As you can see, no error, and the auto-save process seems to engage before sending me back to My Work, but none of the changes "stick".
For reference, iPad Pro 2015, 12.9 inch running iPad OS 14.1 using the Pencil.

Aangebracht wet in opgemaakt werk (deels wel bewaard), maar een half uur werk kwijt?
Ook niet terug te halen bij history van mijn dokument?

Usually when I hit the back arrow to go from current work to gallery it saves but the other night it did not and my work was deleted. Tried to restore from an earlier version but there was nothing in any autosave that had the work I lost

Working on a document, creating vector layers with pencil and blob brush. I was saving work as I went and it was working....then all of a sudden not saving anymore. Went out of that document into a different one to test and it saved in a different document. This is very frustrating.

One thing I noticed - this happens 100% of the time when I edit an existing .svg file. So open .svg in AI, make some edits >> it never saves.

Just lost 2 hours of work. Says it saves when going back to view documents, but revised version is not updated on cloud and work is lost. Big disappointment.

same. Well, there is "auto save", but its not actually saving. Very frustrating.
