Keep touch modifier on right
I’m left-handed so I would like the touch modifier to always be on the right when I open/create a document while keeping the tools on the left (not all lefties want their tools on the right). Thanks!

add more basic shape tools, including ruler, and the same french curves from illustrator draw app. :)

Ability to show individual layers in outline view
Maybe using the option 'button' whilst clicking on the visibility icon could put an individual layer into outline mode?

Import image? Surprised this isn’t already a feature.
Trying to import images of boat plans to digitize into 3D models... but there isn’t an ‘import image’ option. There is only work arounds that say to import image into Adobe illustrator Draw, and that should upload it to Adobe Cloud and it should work. Well, it doesn’t. Adobe Cloud cannot sync “at this time. Try again later”
Very disappointed and let down. I’ve been waiting years for this to arrive on the iPad, and it’s just as useless as whatever Illustrator Draw was supposed to accomplish.4 votes -
Add anchor points with select tool.
I want to add anchor points with select tool above the path editing.
I use it to clipping.
I don’t want to change pen tool.

Open a .ai file located on the creative cloud.
The import and open option within the app places my .ai as an image within a new document instead of opening the .ai file.

Type on Path is here already.
Select your text and a path you want to use for it, tap Type at the right and and choose ‘Type on Path’ option. -

Circle slice/angle
It would be very nice and useful that when you draw a circle you can slice or angle it, like in desktop app.

Add “Projects” tab to Illustrator home screen for cloud saved files like on the desktop version.
Add the projects tab from illustrator desktop to the iPad illustrator home screen. Right now all I can see is my files and folders the projects tab that’s on desktop version is not on iPad version.

Bullet Points
You really need to add bullet points to Illustrator for iPad. if a users workflow includes opening a DC file on the iPad that has bullet points, it just does not work because bullet points tool is missing from the iPad version.

AI on iPad unstable! Constantly freezes
For a native app that Adobe said would make creative processes a workflow of efficiency...and indeed, free up greater creative, it does just the opposite and literally gets in the way of said processes. I keep hoping for an update that will stabilize the system.

I give up. Too much time wasted...my and others' woes, shouting into the the vacuum that is Adobe. I wish there was some way to be compensated for all this misplaced trust. And I wish Adobe all the woe it's created for it's loyal users - me? 30 years and counting. Worst…

“Fit [Artboard] to Selected Art”
Be able to fit the artboard to selected art like on the desktop version. So it’s more efficient than manually resizing the artboard.

Make a dedicated Surface Pattern Window or Layout mode
A dedicated pattern window for surface design.
Easy to choose between repeat styles.
Adding and deleting elements.
Side by side preview of the pattern.
Art board templates for popular sizes.
Pick and change the colors to an element that can update them all at once.
Same for size and other transformations.
Make this window Pantone extension friendly. We need to use Pantone colors.
Option to choose from color themes. Like holiday colors, black and white for example. Suggest popular colors others are using.
Save swatches and gradients.
Ai suggestions for best placement of elements.
Image trace.
Fabric mock-up preview.

Can we get the full toolbar same as the desktop for iPad?
The full tool bar is necessary for the iPad, having to use 2 different devices is pointless. I didn’t get an iPad to be limited to my abilities with illustrator. I can’t arch I can’t use effect I can’t do a lot and that’s a problem. I didn’t pay for this software to only get bits and pieces of what I had been paying for, for 6+ years. The iPad is fully capable of using the full toolbar let’s implement it.
