Is there seriously no bucket tool in Illustrator for Ipad?????

You have an amazing shape builder tool, but it’s broken because the resulting cross-sections aren’t actually shapes waiting to be colored but just a bunch of lines which happen to end up right on other lines. They are useless as is (on the iPad), unfortunately.

Live Paint fixes this problem on the desktop.
I LOVE this feature since the arrival of shape builder there, and I also love that after expanded, I get 2 groups, one for the outlines and one for the fills.
Thank you for that, all in all this group of features were the best innovation of Illustrator in decades.

I know you have to rethink that for the iPad but it’s a cruicial addition for the current toolset as it’d complement it to be actually useful.

And honestly at that point the iPad app will be truly capable to produce final illustrations… perhaps even faster than on the desktop.

The pencil fill is great but we still need live paint bucket please :)

Just use Procreate...there's a feature that works EXACTLY like live paint... Its actually more accurate. Only $10... Sorry Adobe... Keep up or lead!

This tool is essential for me. Illustrator for illustration is useless for me, let’s see how much time I must to wait to see the tool in this version :(

I agreeeeeeeeeee!!!!!! I also just got an ipad and am sad how many features aren't on there, especially this one. I want live paint with the bucket fill!!! Have to use my ancient old slow laptop for this. Would be so nice to use the apple pencil and just tap into the zillion spaces I need to fill. Please let this be the next thing you add! :)

responding to the last post about returning the iPad- definitely don't do that lol-I'm sure the features are on their way and for the time being try and find a different strategy for live paint* -it's annoying but try bouncing the file to the desktop version and finish the file through there

This is driving me insane. I just got this new iPad pro with the m1 chip... It is so amazing and fast... But now I'm going to have to return it to the store! Every single one of my designs requires live paint, thus the iPad is literally useless to me. :'(

I use Live Paint Groups and the paint bucket in every design I do. I am really looking forward to moving to an iPad permanently, but Live Paint is absolutely vital and I can't do my work without it. Please add this function soon!
