Derek, can you reproduce this problem today?
If yes — can you please share these test files and the exact color settings (as screenshots or the configuration files) used, along with your OS and GPU details, so the team can try to recreate this in-house?

Samira, por favor, compartilhe um arquivo de teste com a malha de gradiente na qual você não consegue alterar a cor do nó, juntamente com um pequeno vídeo mostrando os passos exatos que você está seguindo, para que a equipe possa verificar e analisar o problema.

I design large scenes as well, and 1:10 is barely enough to unwrap all the scaffolding, and I have to use 1:100 instead. The real pain is exporting. I live where inches aren’t used, and have to use PPCM and fractioned values to export, and Ai supports these poorly. I’d say it doesn’t. I juggle the numbers daily... 50 ppcm is 127 ppi, and 127 is a prime number, and I can’t go lower than this, because I can’t divide it and make something like a half, 63.5 — Ai would round the value.
I made two reports on this:
    1. Add ability to use PPCM along with PPI, as Photoshop does — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/32403901
    2. Add ability to use fractional values for resolution everywhere — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/32403898

For now I have to use a ton of post-processing to solve it, actions, scripts, batching...

So yeah, I’m all in the large canvas... or better the no difference and just the unlimited canvas (http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/20395555), the infinite one (http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/38129344)
The current approach is way too flawed... UserVoice has roughly 70 problems reported about it: broken offset, broken brushes, broken this and that...
We should really report and upvote to push the need.

Not 'lies', but uses a very much legal user scale coefficient, like UserUnit :)
But I agree it is hidden and the handling of it is not consistent across different apps.
That’s why I still avoid large canvas and prefer working in actual scaled setup....

The issue seems to visible at our end after closing the Illustrator and reopening the file. However, it is just the value does not get updated in the pop up panel. The transformation change on the object happens fine and is reflected properly in the properties panel as well. Let us know if you are experience similar behavior or not.

    Can’t reproduce on Windows 10 in 30.2.1
The value in the dropdown panel called from Control updates for me correctly (as well as the art)...
Does anyone else have it on Windows? can it be a Mac-only problem?

Rudy, this space is reserved for tint values for global and spots colors, just like the screenshot shows, where the swatch at the bottom is a tint of another swatch above. There’s a tiny gap left still, and it can fit ~4 more symbols instead of ellipsis, I agree, I’m upvoting this anyway... but it’s not THAT much space as you think :)

You have 'Fade region outside Artboard' disabled in the Artboard Options dialog. Can you enable it back and try again?

Kyle, do you still have a problem like this today?
If you do — can you please share a test file, along with the full details on your PC configuration?
Either share them here, if you are OK with it, or send them all together to sharewithai@adobe.com (and mention the link to this report, http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/39016630)

I confirm. For me it just don’t get updated until I reopen the file. Toggling Overprint won’t help. When a source is changed and saved, Ai detects it is updated, but the color changes never happens. Only reopening forces it to read it back.
Can you recall exactly or test when this problem happened, in what build exactly?

I remember occasionally Layers would confuse the colors in Layers... collapsing-expanding them all used to solve this for me (with Opt/Alt clicking) on the arrow before a layer’s name.
However, I don'’ recall the exact conditions to make it happen. Does anyone?
I remembering it can relate to expanding symbols... but your example looks like it was not using these. Rebuilding the structure form scratch and trying to break it failed for me.

Ah, now I see what you mean. Yes, it is known to me :( That’s one of reasons I avoid using sublayers at all.
It’s even stranger than you demonstrate — take a look at the GIF attached.
    So it’s not really minor...

Hard to grasp, sorry. Starting with a question 'why is the compound path green in the first place?'
Can you please share a test file with direct steps? A small video of you performing these steps can also help to reproduce this behavior.

There’s a general request about the minimal allowed panel height also:

Yep, I confirm. I think this happens because of the recently added Recent section (no pun intended).
Even when it’s disabled, it contributes to the minimal possible height.
    Thanks for the report!

May be introducing palette commands like 'Move layer backward/forward' will do the trick?

I have a problem: an EPS 10 with a gradient mesh objects, saved in Illustrator 30.2.1 (2026), won't open in 20.0.0 (CC 2020). I've tried cleaning it up in various ways, but nothing helps. Any suggestions? The error is: Can't open the illustration. The illustration contains an illegal operand.

Please share a test document with a text object that behaves like this for you, so the team can investigate what went wrong and come up with a fix.
So far this is a first report about such a behavior here.
