AI 29.0 runs slower than previous version
Is Illustrator running increasingly SLOW with every single update! It's not an update if the application keeps getting WORSE.

Hi @Mr.Ron489 – thanks for sharing your experience. Could you help us with a few more details so we can better investigate the issue?
• Which OS and version are you on?
• When did you start noticing this slowdown (after a specific update or build)?
• Is the lag consistent across all files, or only specific ones?
• Could you share a short screen recording showing the brush tool lag?Appreciate your help – we want to make sure we address this properly.

Having the same problem. Even when using the brush tool, it has problems showing the line traced (id does....eventually), when even the last version can do it. Since the introduction of the AI tools (and the information it substracts from the projects), the performance has been worse.

@MarkR Are you experiencing it for the whole AI software? I've only had problems regarding zooming in and out for all versions after 28.0. I've raised my bug report as well here:
https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447-illustrator-desktop-bugs/suggestions/48986747-very-laggy-zooming-in-and-out-using-mouse-scroll-s@Stuart Chesters - I do the same. I've been trying to update every time there's an update to see if it improves, but I keep version 28.0 in handy as it is the most stable version for me.

@MarkR, some others report a huge boost with performance, so there should be a conflict of sorts with the setup you’re having...
Please give the full specs of your OS, hardware, GPU specifically and the driver version, so that the team can start investigating. -

Thanks, everything I need to know about the new upgrade answered here. I always come and look at the issues and bugs before installing a new version of AI. I couldn't care less about all it's new bells and whistles all I've ever asked for and want is it to run stable and fast. Any hint that's it's slower and more buggy and I'm staying with my current laggard and somewhat stable version.
