As stated in this request’s status update, the team had to temporarily revoke the 'Search for missing links in this folder' feature to make a way for the missing 'Apply to All' option when relinking, starting with version 29.2.
These two can’t coexist at the moment, and the team intends to come up with a better solution to allow both.

It seems like later builds of Illustrator don’t have this problem.
Please verify or disprove it.
The mentioned problem with Group Selection and Selection tools selecting singular points is reported here, with a workaround solution.

An error occurred while saving the comment yeah considering this was brought up nearly 2 years ago and hasnt been fixed yet I wont be holding me breath. i feel this must be a fundamental bug that they simply CANT FIX. There is no excuse for this ongoing problem to be ignored for so long. FIX YOUR **** ADOBE, dont make it an option, JUST MAKE IT THE DEFAULT as it should be! No one, ever in any circumstances wants to export assets beyond their outer most clipping masks. If you cant make your program understand the hierarchy of clipping masks within masks then reprogram your piece of **** software so that masking hierarchy is obvious and intuitive! Adding band aids to fundamentally broken pieces of software just comes back to bite you in your ***! FIX YOUR **** CORRECTLY!
