   In the latest Beta Build 31.1.49 you can now quickly increase or decrease the stroke weight of selected objects using dedicated keyboard shortcuts.

   By default the hotkeys are these:

   Stroke Weight Down: Cmd/Ctrl + Option/Alt + ,

   Stroke Weight Up: Cmd/Ctrl + Option/Alt + .

   Please try these and comment back if these work as expected.
