If you're still seeing it, could you help us with a few details so we can dig in further?
- Are you still facing the issue? (yes / intermittent / no longer)
- Machine configuration — OS and version, GPU, and Illustrator version/build
- Reproduction rate — does it happen every time, or only sometimes?
- A screen recording of the issue as it happens, if you can capture one
- The AI file you were working with when the issue occurred (feel free to share a stripped-down/anonymised version if the original is confidential)
If the issue is 100% reproducible on your machine, we'd be happy to set up a short debug session with you.

If this happens for you, please check the 'Use Preview Bounds' in Preferences > General. When it’s enabled, Ai will treat strokes and effects as a part of the object’s bounds.

When opening an old CC 2018 document in CC 2019 my object has changed dimensions, only by small increments, but they have changed in size nonetheless. I am a packaging designer and the exact sizes are important when creating packaing for printer templates and has been frustrating having to change the dimensions on all my documents. Is there a fix for this?

Hi Ashutosh,
It is not selected. I have noticed that it seems to be a problem/glitch with what 'align stroke’ is selected for the path in the Stroke pallet – if align stroke to center is selected then the cursor doesn’t like to select the line if it is then changed to inside it selects no problem.
