Thanks for reporting the issue, Illustrator team really appreciates this.Unfortunately, we are not able to reproduce this issue. Could you kindly provide the following information to help us nail this down :
1.Kindly please provide us your preferences settings
2. Steps to collect Preference Settings
For Win: C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator 25 Settings
Mac: ~/Library/Preferences/Adobe Illustrator 25 Settings
3. Copy the Adobe Illustrator 25 Settings and share with us in a zip file on ShareWithAI@adobe.com .Please mention the title of this issue as the subject of the mail.

It seems like the problem is not about the bounding box...
If you don’t see anchors selected, please check if you have View > Show Edges enabled. It's easy to toggle it with Cmd/Ctrl + H, and it’s a common mishap.
If that’s the thing for you (or not) — please comment back.
As for the bounding box specifically (the frame with 8 scale/rotations markers) — it never shows up when using the Direct Selection tool, and never was, and should not.
If you need to scale or rotate a partial selection of anchors, use Free Transform or Rotate or Scale tools instead.

Saving takes soooooooooo long! I can't count the number of times I get a pop up that says
" The document "nameofdoc.ai" is currently getting saved. It will be closed after the save is complete"
This never happened in 2019 and my process hasn't changed at all (AKA I still close files at the same rate of speed).

Same for me. What's more frustrating is that it is inconsistent. Sometimes I'll have a clue as to what the **** I am selecting, but other times NOTHING. PLEASE FIX THIS.
