I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 24.2.0 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

Illustrator TeamAn error occurred while saving the comment Magnus Helin commentedCrazy irritating when it happens, but most often caused by some other software intercepting input from the keyboard and not properly passing it through afterwards.
If you are running any form av antivirus software, look a feature labeled something like Secure Keyboard Entry and disable it. At my company we use Webroot antivirus which caused this exact issue.
Some years ago I've also had this happen with a webbrowser open in the background where some page had JavaScript running for custom keyboard commands. Haven't seen this lately though, so I assume the webbrowsers have clamped down their sandboxes a bit better now.
Yes, just ran into this exact same bug. Uninstalling this beta version immediately…
