Resources for Pen tool
Dear Sirs, Architects of Adobe Illustrator.
I am a user of this extraordinary program and I come to suggest that you create a resource so that the Pen tool can be used with the same resources as the Brush tool. That is, allowing us to expand through keyboard shortcuts and also be previously configured with Brush effects. It would make it much easier to create geometric designs, which are done more precisely with the Pen tool, but with predefined Brush strokes.
Thanks in advance for your attention,

Option to permanently add a brush to every opened document
I often use very specific custom made brush in an Operation. Adding panel with library containing this brush does not help - I have to click on it in every document before starting the operation. Option to permanently add a brush to every opened document would be splendid. Or at least to incorporate that into Operation. (no, using paste in operation doesn't work)

Paintbrush tool needs default brush setting
Many folks run into an issue with the paintbrush tool where when trying to use it, we get a prohibited symbol with no explanation. First, I recommend troubleshooting tips for this situation, such as: "choose a brush." Simply having a default brush automatically selected would also help avoid frustration. Thanks!

Scale Calligraphic Brush - create new brush option
If you scale a path item with 10 pt stroke at 200%, you will get a path item with a 20 pt stroke. Note, the "Scale Strokes & Effects" option is enabled.
However, if a calligraphic 3 pt brush is scaled 200% (with a default stroke weight of 1pt and "Scale Strokes & Effects" enabled) the result will produce a calligraphic 3 pt brush with a 2pt stroke. Visually the brush stroke will appear bigger but the path item is still connected to the 3 pt brush.
Can we add a feature that will create a new brush based on…

Airbrush features
It would really open up Illustrator to a brand new superior level for not just technical illustrator artists, but other artists that would like to see their drawings in a vectorize art form where they could really explore blending and shadings, instead of just typically relying on pixalated, or rasterized form to perfect their drawings. I fully believed in the potential power of vectorizes art being taking it to another level for artists that can draw freely with their hands. Illustrator’s appeal to hobbyists, Graffiti artist, Caricaturists, and other individual form of artist that specializes in different genres have been…

Disable bristle brush warning
Whenever a document contains any bristle brush (or expanded bristle brush strokes) you get a warning when you save the document that it contains complex shapes etc.
Could you please make it possible to completely disable this warning?
I know you can tick "Don't show again in the current session" but that's not enough. The warning pops up again the next time you open the document and working on multiple documents containing bristle brushes gets quite annyoing in the long run.

permit higher resolution art brushes
Currently art brushes are limited to 1000x1000 pixels which results in jagged edges if the brush image is used directly. Permit the use of much higher resolutions. This would increase the functionality of the brushes which currently look quite artificial.

brush size smaller than a point
I always have to enlarge my artwork because the brush size does not go down small enough

Ability to set line width based on the angle of the line
I'd like to be able to set the line width based on the angle of the line, so if the line width is 10 pt on horizontal lines, and you set it so it's 90% of that on vertical lines, it automatically sets it to 95% on 45 degree lines etc.
In the example image you'd just have to draw a circle, set it to a 10 pt line and then set the thickest point (vertical) to 400% of the thinnest part (the horizontal).
The controls for this would be simple, all you need to be able to do is…
1 voteThis effect can be achieved with Calligraphy brushes. Set one up in Brushes panel, use angle 0, change the size to be the thickest weight you want, and use the roundness value to change it at thinner horizontal parts. If you want 4x difference, set it to 25% of the set size. Done — apply it to any path you want.

Image Brush further development
Some years back, Adobe introduced Image brushes to Illustrator. The implementation was uncharacteristically shallow for Adobe who usually adds plenty of functionality and flexibility to any tool, which is great. Well, the images brushes were introduced, and I suppose abandoned and never looked at again. I think Adobe needs to revisit image brushes and add a lot more functionality. The best image brush implementation I've found so far in any software was in Serif's discontinued software called DrawPlus. That's what Adobe needs to shoot for, at least. Think about this. There are true vector brushes in Illustrator that are so…

Change Art Brush Angle
Currently when using an art brush you can only change the direction the brush going in 4 directions. I wish I could make the brush go in any direction or angle I wanted. You can do this on the procreate app on iPad so I am surprised that it cannot be done in Adobe Illustrator.

Expanding scatter brush without boxes
When I create a scatter brush of random circles and then expand the appearance, it creates outlines of all the circles, but also adds in a box around each circle. When I 'Unite' the shapes the boxes are included and there are too many to have to go in and delete the boxes manually.
