Warn about text elements in a document
Greetings, team. I have a suggestion to enhance your fantastic design software. I frequently work with tiny text elements in my vector art designs for textile sublimation. The challenge lies in the sheer volume of items I create daily, each with various sizes and variations. Sometimes, I inadvertently include text within the art, only to notice it after printing. Add Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+X as a text modal keyboard shortcut for strikethrough text
Recently Ai finally added hotkeys slots for text formatting (following this request: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/33679330) — for bold, Underline, Italics.
We need more.
Even though Strikethrough (as well as Underline) in Ai is very basic and does not allow customization (here is a request about both: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/48103976), we need at least an empty hotkey slot for it. Most apps support Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+X for this, so I suggest the same combination.1 vote -
Composite fonts with Chinese, Korean fonts
Composite fonts (East Asian type option) only shows Japanese typefaces for CJK text elements. It would be nice to be also able to typeset CJK texts in Chinese/Korean typefaces to reflect regional differences in CJK character forms.

Add Convert to Point / Area Type commands in context menu for text
When I right-click on text, I would like there to be an option to switch between area/point text, instead of going to the type menu.

Add an "All Minuscule" button to the character tool panel
There's an all caps button why not the opposite. At times I've seen plenty of brands use minuscule characters for some lines exclusively. It would be nice to have templates that prevent the error to have majuscule letters or vowels when a brand doesn't want it and explaining it to the client/customer. I've made a sample you can check out. It seems simple enough to add.

Leading / Line Height calculator (more Auto options)
Illustrator now offers 120% as the default leading value.
Changing it requires you to go to Justification dialog within the Character panel.
The setting is global for the document.
Changing the default value for all new documents requires editing [Normal Paragraph Style] in proper Document Profile (and default ones are reset every time Ai updates).Typography often requires more variety than just a value relative to font size.

As a user who frequently works with CJK texts, I often encounter challenges in managing fonts for multilingual documents. Currently, setting different fonts for mixed-texts is a cumbersome process.

Please support Hebrew language
Hi
I’m using illustrator for first time and learning it in university and I noticed that it not supports on Hebrew language
That’s make problems when I’m trying to write in Hebrew
And because of it I need to buy computer … that’s why I think they u need to do Hebrew language support on the illustrator fonts and so…If it not support the language going backwards and not as she should .

A point type frame should ignore spaces on the right, just like an area type.
Right spaces should be ignored by text align.

Make Illustrator inform users about the live shape nature of the path used for area type and provide associated controls for it
Currently, when we use a live rectangle as a path for an area type, it secretly stays live shape inside, and it allows us to scale the object with the round corners honored. If we round corners for a rectangle-looking path (not live shape), corners will get stretched.
However, there is no way to distinguish these two cases with UI, or to convert a rectangular path used for the area type into live rectangle shape, or to have shape-sepcific controls.

Copy and paste formatting to text
Please add a very important abbreviation

(And copy the same text)
I suggest its shortcut is ctrl + shift + V
and
ctrl + shift + C copy shortcut
As in MS Word

Add "tight" leading to preset leading
From the beginning, Illustrator has offered an "Auto" setting for leading, plus specific setting numbers (12pt, 14pt, 18pt, 21pt, et al). What I wish that you would add is a setting for "tight leading," in other words, leading set to the same point size as the font itself. Like 10/10, 12/12, 72/72. Seems like an easy, one line of code kind of addition. And I, for one, would be eternally grateful for it.
