Definitely been an issue for at least a few years. Please provide an option to disable scrolling through all fields in Illustrator windows or no longer make this the default action when you hover your mouse about a field. Just the slightest movement of your index finger will start scrolling through numbers.

This is really problematic when you are clicking to type in a field to change the unit to another value. For example: if I type in a new height value for a selected object and then hit enter on the keyboard the cursor disappears. So if your next movement is to move the mouse and you scroll just the slightest bit, the values start to rapidly scroll up or down depending on which way you slightly moved your finger. When you are doing critical size adjustments or distortion this is annoying and sometimes subtle enough where you don't see the issue occur.

Currently if I open the properties panel and enter a number into one of the windows-like width-I then hit return and go to move my mouse and the numbers start scrolling up or down (along with the selected object in the drawing). I would like an option to turn off this scrolling feature. I spend a lot of time fixing things that have changed.

I want to throw my "magic" mouse out the window because of this, but really the software should provide a solution.

It's pretty annoying key-nudging that oh-so-perfect value for a width in my Transform palette and then as I quickly roll the mouse away to do the next thing I find my object just suddenly zooming uncontrollably to god knows what new number. And since I didn't necessarily eyeball the value before I left the filed it's disconcerting that I just lost it. Definitely takes me out of the design flow.

(I've used Illustrator since it was called Illustrator 88, and it seems that only very recently have bugs like this appeared which throw such input-messes into the product... please prove me wrong Adobe Team!)

Stop forcing users to use things they don't like. All new "features" should have a disable option. This is not rocket science.

Absolutely. The developers must not use a Magic Mouse or they would have never left this feature as-is.

It seems to respond to both left/right and up/down scrolling. Even slightly rolling your finger as you try and click using a Magic Mouse erroneously triggers it. Even more frustrating is that it seems to happen even when you're only hovering over the up/down buttons, not even the text input field.

I used to use Magic Prefs to solve this issue but it is no longer supported.

Personally, I would also like to just be able to turn this feature off. It's not precise/smooth enough to be helpful in my mac and it's too easy to trigger unintentionally.

It would be nice if there was a preference to turn off what I've seen referred to as "hover scrolling" or when selected type or object is changed when the mouse rolls over a drop down menu. I was first going to report it as a bug, but apparently it's an actual feature.
