2. Lock tools or pallets to the edge when using multiple monitors?

   I'd like to be able to pin toolbars or windows to the inside edge when using multiple monitors. I like keeping my main display clear of obstruction and have my tool pallets against the "spine" between the two monitors on the secondary display. Illustrator only allows toolbar pinning to happen on the extreme left or right of all monitors... Please allow the ability to pin to the spine/seam of the monitors.

3. GRID in BACK/FRONT button

   It would be great to have the option of GRID ON BACK and GRID IN FRONT in the Properties panel, for example. near the SHOW GRID button as when working with GRIDS sometimes it's better to have them in front and others in back and for this I have always to get into the Preferences panel so as to activate/deactivate this option and it's really annoying...

4. X & Y Sliders for Quicker Movement and Precision

   Please make X and Y position for an object have a slider like After effects. Instead of clicking the arrow keys or putting in a value, I should be able to select and object, then hover over they X or Y value and use the slider to only affect the object in one direction. This would greatly speed up layout design and allow for more precision. After effects does this perfectly already, and I think it would be a great addition to Illustrator. I would also say this feature could be added to W and H.

   As per the comment, Illustrator on the web is now a thing and you can try it.

   You also have to be an a state that is allowed to use new Adobe services.

6. Window Menu shows active panels as checked names but does not indicate panels that are tabbed in a group. Maybe add gray checks?

   My calculator panel idea in illustrator is shown in the attached picture

   Approximately, as I see it and based on the tasks that I solve in illustrator.
   It would also be nice if the Calculator and Transform panels work together. The principle is shown. Perhaps even understandable. An active window in one is an active window in the other...

   In general, a calculator is a useful thing and it would fit well into the adobe system.
   It would also be nice if the Calculator panel could interact with other panels with which this is possible. For example, with the new Measurements panel.
   And it would be thoughtful and logical.

   Perhaps someone will also be interested in this and support the idea.

   Thanks to all the developers and designers who are constantly making improvements and new features. So that we users can work comfortably in the software.
   It's not easy and a lot of hard work behind it all.

9. Default Swatches and Styles as part of New Document Dialog

   The first thing I do every time I create a new document is delete all those default swatches and add my own. And those pattern swatches (e.g., "Jive," "Golden Ring," "Alyssa"), I am literally never going to use those.

   And those quirky Graphic styles ("Jive_GS" etc). I am literally never going to use those either.

   Ideally, I'd like to load up a document with its swatches, paragraph styles, graphic styles etc as part of the "new document" dialog. I can choose artboard size, bleed, margins, all kinds of things.

   How about if I could pick swatch groups, paragraph styles, graphic styles, etc from CC libraries as part of the new document dialog?

   It's a small thing, but after year after year of deleting the 500 swatches that I will never use - and then adding the six that I need with literally every document I create - seems there could be a smarter way to get started. Know what I mean, Steve McQueen?

    En choisissant cette commande le repère 0,0 des règles serait automatiquement ajusté en haut à gauche du plan de travail actif.

    A envisager : passer par une fenêtre de dialogue qui affiche les 9 petits carrés que l'on trouve dans transformation et qui permettrait de choisir sur quel angle ou quel centre on veut caler les règles.

    Cette fonctionnalité permettra de définir la position d'éléments ou de repères de façon rapide et précise par la saisie de valeurs numériques.

12. "Soft Messages" interface in SDK, as alternative to modal dialogs

    Can the SDK get an interface for Soft Messages like the "Shape Expanded" message that quietly appears at the top of the screen, then fades away on its own? Sometimes modal dialogs or even floating windows are just way too intrusive to simply pass a message on to the user.

    I have managed to pretty much replicate this in one of my own plugins using annotations, but it would be much simpler if a few lines of code could allow any developer and any plugin to call a behavior that already exists in Illustrator.

13. Reduce the shortening / truncating of color swatch names when in list view

    Remove the color type from the right column of the color swatch menu which would result in more space for the color name and ultimately less truncation of color names.
    The color type; spot, process or global is already indicated by a dot or triangle on the thumbnail on the left. It doesnt need to be indicated again on the right. If this was eliminated, there would be more space for the color names.
    The color mode isnt important. Book, cmyk or RGB - it doesnt matter to users when searching this list. RGB or CMYK is already apparent as is dictated by the document's color mode. Book colors are easily identified by the brand name in the color swatch name.

    If this was done, it would net twice as much space for the color names.
    Overall, I rank this low priority, but much of AI's menus are inefficient and tend to clutter my workspace . Im constantly widening and narrowing this particular palette.
    Perhaps this could be addressed as part of a global UI strategy in the multi-threaded future.

15. Use Typographer's Quotes should be more accessible

    "Use Typographer's Quotes" should be added to the Character palette to make it more easily accessible. Sometimes I'm designing a document that uses typographer's quotes, but most of the time I work with documents that reference dimensions in feet and inches, so I need to be able to switch back and forth between typographer's quotes and straight quotes quickly.

    In addition to that, "Use Typographer's Quotes" should be moved from File > Document Setup to Illustrator > Settings > Type to match the way Photoshop and InDesign do it.

    The Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign teams (and probably others, but those are the three apps I use the most) should get together and decide if they want to use to word "Settings" or "Preferences" to describe the same thing. Apple recently changed from using "Preferences" to using "Settings", so that's probably the one to use, at least on macOS.

16. Make my palettes static

    My palettes are always moving. No matter how much i adjust the size the whole group goes up. and down. Why cant they just stay in the same place? right now my swatches/brushes/symbols palette takes up the whole right side. even though i only have the very basic number of swatches. meanwhile the others are all pushed to the bottom and i have to search for each palette.

    Basically I dont want to search for the palette i need. I want it to be on the side where i left it. instead of resizing. I'd rather scroll inside a palettes than have it huge then small.

17. Bigger / resizable text field for artboard names

    The size of the text input field for the artboard names is often too short - so when I want to change the last bit of an artboard name (often for a modifier like ...white, ...dark etc.), I have to marquee / hit arrow or end key to get there. That makes renaming more complicated than necessary.

19. Quick View (Space Bar on Mac) "elements" in Libraries "Tab Group"

    You can hover over Libraries elements and see more written info. But as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, and a large "quick viewing" would help speed up the identification and selection of elements from Tab Group.
