  1. SVG text export inconsistent failure 23.0.1

    On SVG export, one text node receives ID as expected, the other is wrapped in a <g> and given the id that should be on the text node (which has no id).

    I don't know how to produce this result—it's happening intermittently in a large existing file. I was only able to whittle it down to an example, but this system won't let me attach an illustrator file (lol)

  2. JPG Import bug CC 2019

    macOS 10.13.6
    Ai 23.0

    Try to open or place a .jpg or .jpeg file
    -> Error-Message "File could not be read because there was an error"

    Does work with other images. I attached the original image.

    (After running the image through imageOptim the import works)

  3. Devanagari scripts

    The use of devanagari scripts in most Creative Suite is really laborious. It took me a long time before finding the way to have a correct display of simple copy/paste from Word or any other source of hindi or sanskrit texts by adjusting, in TWO différents dialog boxes the appropriate settings. I finally found the way to do it but, as I wanted to use a composition in a webpage, I exported my composition as SVG, and the result was just terrible: no word was correctly spelled and I had to retype all of them in Dreamweaver (which has a…

  4. "Export as" not working as expected

    When I use File > Export > Xxport as ...e.g. png, using the "Use artboards" function the "Save As" dialog isn't working properly...

    Firstly, it doesn't save the name I typed exactly... "Version 1.2.png" it somehow uses parts of already existing file names like "Version 1.2_Text.png" which is really weird...

    Secondly, if I use parts of the name of a file that already exists like "Text_Version 1.2.png" in the saving process and Text.png already exists it asks me if I want to overwrite that file...

    If you still have the problem, please share a test file and a strict chain of steps to reproduce the problem, ideally with a video attached the team can follow. Please mention the exact names for the files already existing in the target folder also, if it matters.

  5. Export fails for path item with pattern stroke

    Using File -> Export -> Save for Web or File -> Export -> Export For Screens (at scale greater than 1x) will give an error: "Could not complete this operation. An unknown error has occurred". This error only occurs when this particular item is visible and involved in the area to be exported.
    See attached file and screenshots including that of mentioned path item.

  6. "Save as SVG" exports mojibake-parttern-ID when it contains CJK character

    Illustrator CC 2018 (v22.1) on Windows 7

    When I save the attached document as SVG in any setting, the stripe patterns had gone completely. I checked up the exported SVG file and noticed the pattern ID defines itself correctly, but actual tag id referenced by "xlink:href" attribute is a wrong mojibake-ID.

    And I know this will not happen when use "Export for Screen". It export correctly, but not scriptable. I think it very strange...

  7. The preview is incorrect because some images are missing

    Ever since at least Illustrator version 29.8.5, I've been having preview issues with linked images. Some images are missing from my preview.

    I tested it in Illustrator 30.3, and the problem persists.

  8. Transparency Lost in After Effects When Importing v30 AI Files

    Transparency Information Lost When Importing Illustrator v30 AI Files into After Effects 2026

    Environment:
    - Hardware: MacBook Pro 16-inch (November 2023), Apple M3 Pro, 36GB RAM
    - OS: macOS Sequoia 15.7.4
    - Illustrator version with issue: v30.2.1 (2026)
    - Illustrator version without issue: v28.7.10 (2024)
    - After Effects version: 2026

    When an .ai file saved in Illustrator 2026 (v30) is imported as footage into After Effects 2026, transparency information — including blend modes, opacity settings, and effects such as drop shadows — is lost or ignored. Affected layers render as fully opaque.

    Re-saving the identical artwork in Illustrator 2024 (v28.7.10)…

  9. Save as opens an empty window

    When I try to SAVE AS, an empty window pops up with no options to save or navigate. This just started happening with the last update.

  10. AI2025 v29.7.1 bug: SVG 1.1 is not accurately rendering

    AI2025 v29.7.1 bug: SVG 1.1 is not accurately rendering vector files. Even upping the decimal places, it's downsampling vectors and oversimplifying more detailed curves. Reverting to SVG 1.0 works fine. Please fix this!

  11. Latest version of illustrator (v29.1) does not export pngs with the same pixel placements as the one before.

    Export from the new version of illustrator places artwork off center: Up and to the left slightly. This causes SO much work in our pipeline, please fix this urgently.

  12. PDF export misses

    After performing "Save a copy" and choosing the PDF, the PDF created does not contain all the art of the artboard. It seems random with no consistency as to what is affected.

    - Sometimes ungrouping helps, 50%. Most often I have to delete the art and replace it.
    - Could even be the same art that appears on another page, so its not errors in the art.
    - Could be copy or vector work.
    - Does not matter if its save as smallest size or other size

    The team would need the test file you can reliably reproduce the problem, the steps to reproduce it, the exact OS specs and the version of Illustrator used. A video can also help to study the issue.

    コンピューターに保存時、ファイル名を作成する際、シフト+テンキーを使い、テキストの一部を選択しようとすると保存画面がリセットされてしまう。Creative Cloudに保存時には発生しない現象。

  15. 上書き保存時に時々保存前のaiデータが勝手に複製される

    バージョンはCC2022です。
    「sample.ai」のデータを上書き保存すると「ai100000000sample.ai」（0部分は任意の数字）というファイルが時々勝手に複製されます。
    削除しようとしても「権限がありません」と出て消せません（再起動すると消せるようになることがあります）
    バグなのか設定の問題なのかわからなかったのでここで質問させていただきます。

    ドキュメントを保存しようとしても無反応。別名保存など無反応。

  19. Illustrator 25.1 (64 bits) doesn't open some files on previous versions

    When I try to open some files created a year ago, Illustrator show me an error window which explains that the program have tried to recover the file but partially. When I click open, only an artboard appears and nothing else.

    After that, I close the project and a pop up window ask to rate the recovery functionality. For now it is dreadful. Hope You can fix it soon

  20. Vector fill shifting when exporting

    I created a fill using vector lines that looks like a quilted look. I arranged the fill in the object to be centered. However, when I either open the AI. file in acrobat or export as png or jpeg the fill vector lines have shifted and are no longer centered. I have tried grouping the layers and locking the layers. THe only thing that seams to work is rasterizing, which I would rather not do in case I need to edit later. Plus, even when I rasterize in high 300dpi the lines don't look clear.
