The preview is incorrect because some images are missing
Ever since at least Illustrator version 29.8.5, I've been having preview issues with linked images. Some images are missing from my preview.
I tested it in Illustrator 30.3, and the problem persists.

The file displays incorrectly in the OS (Preview on Mac), and therefore produces an incorrect PDF, since we generate the PDF from the Preview.
I'm running macOS Sequoia 15.5 with an Apple M4 Max chip.

We received the package shared by you, but we cannot see the issue encountered by you.
You mentioned that you are having preview issues with linked images, and some images are missing from the preview. We do not see that.
We need to know where are you previewing the Ai file – is it being placed in any other file (like PSD or INDD file) or are you having an incorrect preview in OS folder?

As I mentioned in my previous post, this also happens in version 30.3
and I had actually waited for version 30.3 so I could try again before reporting the bug. -
@Volf - You have to re-save the file with v30.3. Please open the existing file in v30.3 and save it again. Let us know if that solves the problem or not.
