Can't deselect objects consistently if an image file is in the document
If an image file is added to the document and locked on a layer, objects on other layers behave inconsistently. I am unable to reliably deselect an object by tapping off it. You can see in this video that sometimes it deselects on first tap, other times 2 taps and even up to 5 or 6 taps. If the image file is removed from the document, deselecting behaviour returns to normal.

Problem with using ipad files on desktop for pattern swatches
I have been creating motifs for pattern design on the ipad. When I open them on the desktop they look fine but when I create a pattern swatch and fill a shape, the motifs are falling apart. If I close the program and try again, the shapes degrade more.

Double tap to erase
When I first got my iPad I was able to erase in illustrator by double tapping on the Apple Pencil now that doesn't seem to be an option

Copy and paste seems to be an issue
I have been trying to find a way to clear my clipboard for about 2 hours now. Every time I double tab instead of deselecting an object or a path it pastes something. First it pasted something from my MacBook which would cause it to freeze for 5 mins at a time, I’ve now tried copying a small space of writing from my notes and it still pastes this in as well. I have restarted both and turned my internet on and off and Bluetooth etc. So I assume this is a bug. There is no hand gestures that I…

Lost work due to bug
After hitting the back button to save my work, some dialog popped open on the top right for a too short time to read what it said. After that I tried opening my work again but it only showed the "preview loading“ dialog for a very short amount of time and closed it again without opening my work. So I force closed the app and opened it again only to find my work not having been saved. Even the version history is empty. Very frustrating! Please never delete unsaved work!

Document glitch
I was working on a logo project, and I duplicated four artboards to make a new set, and when I did, half of them couldn’t paste because they went outside the document bounds, and the remaining artboards glitched when I tried to delete them. I closed and reopened the document, and none of the artboards came up, then I tried closing the app, and it still didn’t load, I also deleted the app and redownloaded it, amd it still didn’t load properly. Then the app wouldn’t load anything at all.

Unable to see which spot color has been used once the object is deselected
Can someone help please. It seems to me that once you deselect an object that has been filled with a spot colour you can no longer see what colour has been used for that object when you re-select it.
Nothing is highlighted in the swatch panel and nothing seems to tell me the specific colour in the properties panel.
When it is taken into Illustrator on the desktop it still is a spot colour.
Can I see this information anywhere, am I missing something?1 vote -
Deselection bug when an image is added to the document
After adding an image to a document a selection/deselection bug triggers. I am unable to reliably tap off a selected object to deselect it. It takes anywhere between 5-8 taps to register. Longer taps have a higher chance of registering.
Once the image is removed from the document, normal selection behaviour returns (1 tap off the object deselect it).
Considering I always start with a sketch layer to illustrate over, this renders the app unusable for me.

Layers need fixing
Sometimes objects drawn in the bottom-most layer will cover objects in layers above. Nothing changes as I reorganize the layers.

Bug: Display sleep/auto-lock is disabled when Illustrator is open on iPad
When Illustrator is open on my iPad, my iPad never goes to sleep, despite the fact that my iPad is set to auto-lock after 2 minutes. This is obviously ******* battery life if I forget to close Illustrator when I walk away from my iPad.

Black images in pdf print preview and when printing
They should be black outline with white center but random shapes are printing black and showing up as black in print preview.

The colours in documents change when opened in ipad. Even the cc libraries.
The colours of ai docs change when they’re made in desktop and then opened in ipad.

You can’t "desable" the outline view...
You can’t "desable" the outline view... Like even though the preview vew is already selected it won’t go back and i can only view the outline view.

Sensitivity of the touch shortcut circle
Every time I try to use the circle somehow it doesn’t like to work simultaneously with my Apple Pencil or finger. I’m not lifting my finger and trying to keep as steady as possible.

Copy to clipboard & pasting - across files
So buggy it’s annoying. Copy layers from one file to the next and half the layers don’t show up. The other half that do don’t retain the original color and substitute something entirely different. Are the copy and color pallet features both to blame?
